Juba, South Sudan – July 2025 — The Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) has announced the launch of the Build Your Best Self Fellowship 2025, a career readiness initiative aimed at empowering final-year university students, recent graduates, and entry-level professionals in Juba with the skills and confidence to navigate the modern job market.
Applications are now open for the inaugural cohort, which will run from August to October this year. The fellowship is designed to help young people enhance their professional presentation—whether through crafting impactful CVs, developing strong LinkedIn profiles, or articulating their career goals and personal brand with clarity.
Speaking about the launch, Emmanuel Bida, Program Manager at EFSS, said the fellowship is about more than acquiring technical skills. “This fellowship is more than a career bootcamp—it’s a mindset shift,” he explained. “We’re looking for young people who are hungry to grow, willing to challenge themselves, and ready to take ownership of their career story.”
For three months, selected fellows will participate in hybrid learning sessions, combining in-person workshops with online coaching. The programme will include one-on-one mentorship and group sessions focused on job readiness, networking, personal branding, and professional storytelling. Fellows will also join a growing community of peers and facilitators offering ongoing support and collaboration.
Human Resource Consultant Roman Viola Brenda, who will lead several training sessions, emphasised the practical focus of the initiative. “Many young professionals underestimate the power of clarity and consistency when it comes to presenting themselves,” she said. “This fellowship is built to change that—every session is hands-on, practical, and focused on real outcomes.”
To be eligible, applicants must be based in Juba, possess reliable internet access, and have a functioning computer and smartphone. They should also be able to commit to two sessions per week throughout the programme. The number of fellows per cohort is capped at ten to ensure personalised support and deeper learning.
The deadline for applications is 31 July 2025. Interested candidates can apply by completing the application form available online at https://forms.gle/ZGAJAFNCGJMR8ozA7. For further inquiries, EFSS can be reached via email at [email protected] or by phone at +211 925 087 508.
With limited spaces and growing interest, the foundation encourages early applications. “This is an opportunity to build your best self—not just for a job, but for the journey ahead,” Bida concluded.
