Drabbles are to Practice Writing Fiction for Me!
A 100-word drabble or two or three is a place to start!.
In a Valley with Trees Lived the Farmer
“Hi ho, the Derry o, the farmer in the dell!”
Drabble random word is “Dell.” 100-word drabble.
Sitting in the local cafe, we were gossiping just a bit. “Have you ever noticed no cattle grazing or crops planted when driving in the Dell?” asked Fred.
“They are government-subsidized to not graze or plant crops!” said Burt. Fred had a thought, I wonder if I might do that too. I will have to look into it.
“It is really only for people too lazy to work!” said Burt. “I’ll never do that!” said Fred.
I wonder if it pays enough for taxes and expenses. The farmer in the Dell is looking pretty good to me Fred was thinking.

What is My Opinion?
You are entitled to my opinion. And I won’t give it unless asked!
Random drabble: Opinion
“Are you asking for my opinion?” Peter asked. “I already know what your opinion is!” exclaimed Jack.
“I doubt you know!” said Peter. “I know!” said Jack.
It’s not like anyone would take my advice anyway Peter thought. Do I ever sound like I am feeling sorry for myself, he thought.
Jack was thinking that Peter would only give him shit for what he was doing, after all, he drank after not drinking for almost a year! Then he thought who wouldn’t drink if they had my job!
Maybe I will ask Peter? “Peter, please give me your opinion then.”

The Faculty at a Major University
Not my thing!
Drabble random word is “Faculty”
Sandra worked as a faculty in three Universities. The last time she thought it would be a fit. The only problem was it was during the pandemic and most classes were online.
Sandra had never taken a class online prior. She wasn’t interested in taking a class online. So why would she want to teach online?
The pandemic won’t last forever!
Well, maybe the pandemic won’t but online will. The youth today! There I go again she thought, criticism of youth. That is the real reason I shouldn’t be teaching.
Criticism of youth equals no more faculty position for Sandra!
