Bridging the gap between childhood and adulthood

I took a pic of your darkness!

I know you are trying to skip because.. Duh! you are not child any more, I guess most of the audience is either in their teenage flow or already enjoying adulthood.

I know I know, enjoying got you! I have heard plenty of people say, " You will know when you become an adult". Though I have started to sense it, but I still won't take my words back and it doesn't matter whether you are enjoying your adulthood or your living your adventurous teens or fascinating childhood dreams, I still wish you a very happy children's day!

Hear me out!

The inspiration behind writing this is because I witnessed so many people around taking about how much they enjoyed their childhood, how did they loose it .( Amazing job! SK, your poem was amazing! No offence) Vocal is the living example of this fact. Moreover my friends around me have loads of childhood stories to share which they really miss like: pulling out pranks, cracking the most stupidest jokes ever and now they just miss it or they are just worried about the future.

Relax, I am not gonna eat you!

Responsibilities, workload, stress—repeat! Nobody wants to get trapped in this cycle, and I agree with you. However, it's the perception we've built over the years. The comfort zone of childhood is something we never want to leave, but eventually, we must because, as humans, we go through different stages in life. Only thing required is the change of mindset.

We fear things that cause us stress or that our brain perceives as dangerous, and so we often try to avoid them. I felt this way at first too. But remember, the light of a lamp only shines after the fire has burned it. In the same way, growth often comes through discomfort and struggle.

Story of my never eaten chocolates.

When I was 5, my dad bought a glass box filled with candies and chocolates. What is absurd and beyond my reach is that I never ate them! I don't know why I just wanted to make it a magical chocolate box so that the chocolates never end. My friend always tried to steal one or two but I never let him. Oneday he bought me another box of candies and as usual I started to fill my so called magical box, but the lid of the box wouldn't close. I pressed harder and it broke and my chocolates fell and he stole them all.

Yeah It's a sad story, but you see too much saving and too much pressure is what we actually do in our life especially all the adults out there! Saving is important but not like 5 year old me and pressure is trash. You see cooker is more wonderful in managing pressure!!

Heartbreaks and social media..

Recently , I met a girl and she was a part of group with overflowing social media profiles and many relationships. She tried her best to fit in and then they ditched her. We had one class in common so I met her Gradually we started talking, hanging out during lunch breaks and enjoying the pond side view of our campus. Yesterday, she said, "I was said life without social media is junk and hanging out with toppers was boring.. I see how wrong it is. Thank you"

This is not about me, it's about social media and relationships that we indulge ourselves in without maturity.

"It feels like I'm reading the thoughts of my own mind here; you've truly written exactly what I feel. It's like those moments when someone reflects on their childhood or life alone. This is as relatable as the fact that we all breathe the same air. So many childhood memories can bring a smile to a weary face. Wonderful Anwesha ✨

Woah!! Your writing style is so cool! No wonder, you're flowing with every thought I had ~reading one line and then you would immediately respond to it like; "Hear me out! I'm not gonna eat you" 😂 Your 'candies part' was a whole story on its own. I tried to make a collection of money that my teachers would give me and my brother one day took 'em and ate junk snacks from the shop. 😂 You would have told me before that you write damn good! Loved your idea of spreading the childhood memories and making us realize that we're missing on things in our life 💖

Oh, I absolutely loved reading this! You nailed it with the whole vibe of growing up but still holding onto those magical childhood memories—seriously, the chocolate box story was both hilarious and totally relatable! 😆I think we’ve all tried to keep things "forever," only to watch them slip away (or get stolen, in your case!). Your take on adulthood vs. childhood is so spot-on, and I love how you throw in real-life moments that just hit. And don’t even get me started on the social media bit—perfectly said! ✨😊
