All My Top Stories: 5 So Far!

Hi readers,

Let me introduce myself. I am Seema Patel (PhD in biotechnology). I am a writer across many platforms, including Medium, where I have a large portfolio of work with close to 3,000 articles. I also have an Amazon KDP profile with 10 book titles so far. Many books have decent rankings. I also run a YouTube channel and have a growing Substack. I wrote for Blogger for 8 years. I will share links in another article.

I have been writing on internet, in various forms for the last 15 years.

I came to Vocal Media towards the end of March, encouraged by a member here. I was a free member at first, but within a few days, I took Vocal Plus. membership. Yes, it felt reassuring.

Now it’s almost the end of June. I have got 5 Top Stories and 1 Leaderboard feature. Pretty good, right? Though given my productivity and the vast range of topics I write, it’s not quite enough. I have 360 published articles. All from my own life experiences and observations.

But I will not complain. It has been an interesting journey so far.

Without much ado, let me share the links of all the Top Stories and the communities they belong to.

1. Memory of the Calves

It was my first Top Story. I was so excited to receive this recognition and bonus! I featured my art and nostalgia about our backyard calves from my childhood in rural India.

2. What's Killing the Marine Creatures?

This one raises awareness about how human-caused pollution fuels algal bloom in the ocean and kills marine creatures. I wrote it after reading the nearby beaches in California littered by dead whales and dolphins. We must pay attention to our environment, or we perish too.

3. Garden Paradise

It shares how a garden can be a peaceful sanctuary. It's a tribute to my backyard garden, which I lovingly tend to. It's my antidepressant, gym, temple, inspiration, all in one. I encourage all, to create a garden, big or small, for the mental health benefits are immense.

4. Happiness in Home

Here, I’ve shared how happiness doesn’t necessarily come from spending money or traveling far. Our own humble home can be a happiness hub, with the right mindset. My garden, creativity, study nook, and children make my home the happiest place for me.

5 Geronimo Stilton

This is a review of a book by the bestselling author Elisabetta Dami, who goes by the pen name Geronimo Stilton. It’s a fabulous book for children, where the main character is a clumsy mouse. The author deserves much more fame for her brilliant work. Your kid will surely love it—check it out!

The first four articles were published in Poets. The last was published in BookClub—my first one there. Now, I am so inspired to share my honest reviews on many books I’ve read.

I believe this series will be helpful to the readers as a good book can be life-changing.

Though I publish predominantly in Poets. Maybe the shorter length makes it easier to publish there. Now, my next goal is to publish in other communities too.
