The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is an upgraded variant of the Xtreme 160R, an entry-level sport bike manufactured by Hero, based in Jaipur. This model represents Hero's first streetfighter bike targeting the popular 160cc segment in India.

Engine

Powering the Hero Xtreme 160R is a revised single-cylinder, 4-valve, 163cc air-cooled engine, delivering 16.9PS of power and 14.6Nm of torque. In comparison, the previous 2-valve head version produced 15.22PS and 14Nm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, and the bike features a 12-litre fuel tank. The bike is available in three variants: Standard, Connected, and Pro. The Pro trim includes a 37mm inverted KYB fork, while the other two variants feature a telescopic fork. The 7-step preload-adjustable rear monoshock remains unchanged. Braking duties are handled by a 276mm front disc and a 220mm disc or 130mm drum at the rear. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with 100-section (front) and 130-section (rear, radial) tubeless tires. With a weight of 139.5kg (kerb) and a ground clearance of 167mm, the bike offers a seat height of 790mm.

The Hero Xtreme 160R is available in three variants: Standard, Connected, and Pro. While all variants feature a 4-valve engine, only the Pro variant is equipped with a KYB USD fork and a split seat setup. The Pro trim weighs one kilogram more than the Standard variant, with a kerb weight of 145kg. The Connected variant offers Bluetooth connectivity, a feature previously seen only on the Stealth Edition 2.0.

In terms of design, the Hero Xtreme 160R exhibits muscular styling, reflecting its streetfighter DNA. The Pro variant stands out even more with the addition of the USD fork. The Standard and Connected variants feature a single-piece seat, while the Pro trim offers a split-piece setup.
