Motor Cycle Safety Month: Tips for Staying Safe on the Road
May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month, which is why it is so important to remind all those who drive motorcycles to be alert and aware of their surroundings. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2017, 5,172 motorcyclists were killed in crashes and motorcycle accidents accounted for 14% of all traffic fatalities. In honor of Motorcycle Safety Month, we at Silent Beacon wanted to share our founder’s story, which inspired the creation of the Silent Beacon wearable panic button and some motorcycle safety tips to bring awareness to how to stay safe while riding a motorcycle.

Shanghai Auto Show 2021: Toyota's Crown Vellfire twin engine announces price
Toyota has taken us by surprise at the Auto Shanghai 2021 by bringing the new Crown to the motor show. And for the regulars who might mistake it for a sedan, it's actually a minivan which is sold as the Vellfire in India, just that it wears a new badge in the Chinese market and it has received very subtle cosmetic updates. So essentially it's a minivan with the legendary Crown logo and there is also a Lexus-badged LM version in some markets. The Crown (Vellfire) is going on sale exclusively in China.

The Special Banana with a factory bench seat.
When I was 14 or so my parents drove out west to pick up a car my uncle had bought for my cousin who was about 6 months older than me. They had bought it through some family in Texas and my Dad was going to bring the car home to Mississippi for my uncle. My Dad was pulling a trailer behind his diesel ford to haul the car home on since when my uncle test drove it, he said it ran at very high rpm’s and was overheating. He bought it anyway despite these apparent flaws because the car honestly was kind of special. It was a 1956 Mustang Gt A-Code with a factory bench front seat (say that five times fast.) Springtime yellow was the color and the car looked and felt special to drive. I say that because while it was technically my cousin’s car, I have a surprising number of memories attached to it.

History of Rally Racing
Traditionally considered a gentleman's sport, rally racing is a form of motorsport that takes place on public or private roads with either modified or specially built cars that are road legal. This type of racing is unique in that it is not performed on a circuit, but rather is a point-to-point race in which the competitors and their co-drivers drive between two set points. Rallies are won either by speed or by driving in stages within a predetermined journey time.

Family Stealth Fighter Convertible
The Year was 2012 and I needed a new car. Having recently sold my daily driver I had bought GMC Sonoma pick-up truck and I hated it. It rode like an ox cart and was incredibly tiny. Of course, I bought it because I thought I would like it but after only a few weeks driving it around I could not take it anymore. The truck was not new by any means, but it was incredibly low mileage and had been sitting in a barn for most of its life. Buying it felt like the deal of the century but considering how much driving I was doing at the time for work on not the smoothest roads in the world it was just not working out.

This company is trying to end F1 drivers’ racing career.
Lately while surfing on YouTube, I tumbled upon a video. After watching this video, I was in a very different phase, a dilemma where I was happy for the progress of science as well as sad for the demotion of drivers. Arrival, an automobile company who manufacture electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles posted a video of their test on their Artificial intelligence vehicle named ADS team. In the video they challenged Formula E world champion Lucas di Grassi to race against their AI operated car. The video was totally cool, with great cinematography and with awesome insights and behind the scenes on how they optimized the performance of the car.

the STI division of Subaru replaced the BRZ STI with a set of STI's own exhaust liner
As the most interesting little sports car for young car fans, the real cars of Subaru BRZ and Toyota GR86, which were just released last month, have appeared in the Japanese Super GT race scene recently! This time, Subaru also brought a new generation of BRZ STI with STI sports kit for preview. Compared to the regular version of BRZ, this time, the STI division of Subaru replaced the BRZ STI with a set of STI's own exhaust liner, and with an exaggerated carbon fiber tail fin, the overall look is more fighting.
