With the 911 GT 2 RS equipped with Man-they performance components, Porsche set a new production car record on the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a lap length of 20.8 kilometres. In the presence of a notary, Porsche development driver Lars Kern set a best time of 6:43.300 on June 14 in the 515 kW (700 PS) 911 GT 2 RS.
