1. James Hotel in Selma, Alabama
This hotel is said to be haunted by the ghosts of Jesse James, his girlfriend Lucinda, and their dog. Guests have reported sudden lavender scents (Lucinda's favorite) and a dog barking in the courtyard, even though there are no dogs at the hotel.

Infamous outlaws Frank and Jesse James reportedly stayed here in the late 1880s. In 1892 the hotel was closed, and it reopened more than a century later in 1997.

Freelan Oscar Stanley, the founder, arrived in Colorado in 1903 with his wife Flora. Together they built this beautiful hotel.
