Welcome back to Next Level Adventures, and welcome to the charming tourist town of Ninh Binh. Get ready to embrace breathtaking views because this place is stunning. Ninh Binh is a small city situated in the Red River Delta, offering numerous beautiful viewpoints and exciting tours filled with unexpected surprises. If you're visiting Vietnam, Ninh Binh should be on your itinerary, and this video will explain why. Sit back, relax, and join me on this adventure. We’re starting early today, so please excuse my hair; I left the hostel at 5 AM. Most visitors come here for the sunset, but I decided to come for a morning hike to enjoy some quiet time. Already, I can see goats on the hillside. They’re grazing near a steep cliff, which looks a bit risky. The climb to the top includes about 500 steps, and while I’ve seen others struggle, it looks manageable. The view is incredible already, but let’s make our way to the top for a better perspective. Usually, I would set the camera down, walk past it, and then pick it up again for a more immersive feel, but not today—I just want to get up there.
After a quick 10 to 15-minute hike, I’ve made it. It was easier than expected, just a little sweaty now that the sun is up. There are plenty of viewpoints along the way if you want to pause, but reaching the top is the goal. Once there, don’t forget to admire the views and “kiss the dragon,” as they say. The staircase and landscaping are beautifully done, with sculptures and pagodas that blend perfectly with the gray limestone surroundings. Arrive early, as it tends to get crowded at sunset. Now, I'll show you more of this stunning area and take you to my hostel, where they serve delicious breakfast tacos in a great atmosphere. I’m staying at the Banana Tree Hostel, which feels like a resort. The place is enormous, with a spacious car park and bike area. My private room is up there, and there's a beer garden with craft beer on tap, fantastic food, and a swimming pool right on the river.
However, there's a slight change of plans. Since many guests arrive on night buses and can’t check in until lunchtime, I don’t want to disturb those who are trying to catch some sleep on the sofas. So, I’ll hold off on showcasing the tacos until later. Trust me, they’re delicious! The food here is excellent, but getting a cold beer is still a challenge; the fridge isn’t up to par. Welcome to Vietnam, I guess—just one of those first-world problems! I’ll show you something else now. This afternoon, we’ll go on a little boat tour. The hostel is just over there, and from here, you can buy a ticket to take a metal boat out into those beautiful valleys we just admired.
