Europe Sweden Moderna Museet in Stockholm is a state-funded contemporary art museum. It sits on the island of Skeppsholmen in a natural beauty setting. It is home to one of the world's finest collections of Swedish, international modern, and contemporary artworks from the early 20th century to today. There are more than 5000 paintings, sculptures, and installations, 25000 drawings, prints, and watercolors, and almost 100,000 photos dating back to 1840. The museum also features learning activities and children's workshops relating to contemporary art.

Alice in Appalachia (Downtown Knoxville, TN, Art District)

Renaissance Humanism
The subject of art throughout the ages has been an evolving study by art historians and archaeologists. Discoveries from the Upper Paleolithic to the Neolithic, often considered artifacts rather than art, have slowly transitioned in importance and relevance to the art world. Following this historic period, Christianity played a role in much of the artwork found in churches and cathedrals beginning with the Early Christian period through the Early Medieval and then Gothic periods. This art was meant to instruct, inspire, and offer a way of life for the illiterate audience. This time of visual instruction soon changed; transitioning from a medieval world to the age of Renaissance.

The Hotel del Coronado
The Hotel del Coronado is located in San Diego, California and it is not just your ordinary hotel. Back in 1958 Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and other actors and actresses gathered here to film the popular movie “Some Like It Hot. The author of 'The Wizard of Oz” L. Frank Baum said that this hotel inspired him created the Emerald City because even though the hotel isn't green it was similar to what Baum imagined Emerald City to look like.
