A Trip to the Biltmore
“Holy Moses!” That was all I could think to say when I first laid eyes on the house. The largest, privately-owners home in the United States, by the way. That’s right: the current generation of Vanderbilt's still own their family estate to this day, and, in the spirit of their famous hospitality, they open up the house to public tours year-round.

Hometown New York City Brooklyn
For people living in small to mid-size hometowns, it is easy to write about their towns. However, for someone like me who was born and raised in New York City, it is rather difficult. Therefore I will look upon the borough of Brooklyn as my small town away from the teeming streets of Manhattan and the other boroughs. If you know about Brooklyn and find a neighborhood missing it is just that I wrote about all the ones I knew and where I have been. I was born in a very quiet corner of Brooklyn called Bay Ridge so I began my tour there. As I continue I will paste the links for the neighborhoods I have written about below.

The Wanamaker Christmas Light Show.
The Light Show at the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia has been a Philadelphia Christmas tradition since 1956. It started when Frederick Yost, a theatrical lighting graduate working for John Wanamaker's leased the "Dancing Waters" technology patented by New York Showman Harold Steinman. The waters were set in the orchestra pit in front of the world famous Wanamaker Organ the largest fully functional pipe organ in the world, which was installed in the store in the early 1910s and expanded through the years.

Mother Combs, You Asked for It
Okay, then, so here goes, Mother Combs, from your: A Christmas Visit With Mother Combs A Getting to Know me Article 1) I think Christmas is mainly for kids. Don't get me wrong, it's nice when families come together, but when there is no Santa to anticipate or prepare for; the appeal for me, is gone. Honestly, no bah humbug here, though.
