My Study Abroad Experience
The summer of 2017, I had gone on a study abroad program that had taken me to multiple cities in Ireland. This trip had a lot of firsts for me. It was my first time out of the country, it also was the first time I wasn’t traveling with any member of my family. And, of course, I was very nervous because of these facts. The day I was to leave for Ireland, I thought the whole plane ride: did I make the right choice, and what was going to happen once I had gotten there? Even though I wasn’t alone, I was with a group of people, but I didn’t know all of them that well, so it hadn’t helped my nerves at all.

Ever since I was little and started getting into anime, it was always my lifelong ambition to go to Japan. In July 2015, I made that dream into a reality and I think it was one of the best trips of my life and the country's capital has left an everlasting impact on me. Tokyo was one of those places that I knew I would love before even stepping one foot in the city and now that I've been to Tokyo, I think I can say that it's one of my favourite cities in the world. There's a lot of things I remember and most of it feels like a neon blur, but there are some very vivid memories of Tokyo and many fun stories I've been able to share.

'Ship Life' Is The Best Life!
Cruise ship vacations are often perceived to be designed for old or retired people. After spending time on a large Royal Caribbean ship, my perception of cruise vacations has completely changed. I had no idea there was so much to do on cruise ships. I honestly thought guests just sat around by the pool, ate food all day, and then gambled money in the casino.

Home
"Home is where the heart is." My mom always says that to me when we get off the phone when I am away at school. I guess I never really understood what that meant or why she would say that. Until this year, actually a few days ago, when I was making the twelve hour drive home from school by myself.

Traveling in the Winter
Living in Canada there is one thing that we all know very well and that is that winter is a long, cold, and terrible time of year. Between snow and freezing rain, the conditions of winter can make traveling nearly impossible. This applies to all methods of travel, and this holiday I had a particularly unique experience when it came to winter conditions.
