6 Reasons Why Living and Working Abroad Isn't Easy Peasy
I've live abroad for almost six years already and I've heard stuff like "Your life is just fun. Beaches. Party." Well, obviously, I did have some fun. I saw some beaches. And attended some parties. But I also had to work hard during (and often exceeding) working hours like my friends who lived and worked back home. I had to face so many difficulties as well as them and maybe even more along the way. And it was all far from easy. But I learned from them…

Why Peru Should Be Your Next Travel Destination
As my degree at university came to an end, I was facing one of the biggest decisions of my life—"what next?" I always knew that I wanted to start a successful career as soon as possible but I also had this burning desire to see the world. After a spontaneous decision to visit Spain, and then an upcoming trip around The United States on the horizon, I never even considered Peru until one of my housemates casually mentioned volunteering abroad. That tiny comment sparked an idea which soon became a reality. After a quick Google search of programs abroad, one in Peru caught my eye. I just couldn't get it out of my head. So it was decided, I was going to Peru for two months.

I Hate the Snow
When I was little, there was nothing I wanted to see more than snow. Growing up in the suburbs of Melbourne, while there were certainly cool winters and plenty of rain, there was never any snow, and rarely opportunities to travel to places where there was such. Thus until the age of perhaps eight or nine, I had never seen or experienced real snow.

New York: Day 3
This morning I had a scrambled eggs breakfast in the hotel restaurant. It was nice, but the chefs put an awful lot on my plate. I couldn’t even eat half of it and I usually eat loads. I’ve noticed that eggs seem to be the main things on breakfast menus over here. My friend had the pancakes. She had a cup of tea and the waitress assured us it was English tea. It most definitely wasn’t. I just had a soda instead. After breakfast we went to a few convenience shops. I needed to pick up some toiletries for the hotel. We were determined to find some proper tea bags. We ultimately failed. So, I must pack proper tea bags on my next holiday abroad—roll on Las Vegas!

Beginner's Travel Guide. Top Story - November 2018.
One of the questions I get asked the most these days is "How do you travel so much?" Social media, in particular, paints a sometimes distorted picture of the reality of travel. It highlights all of the breathtaking views, bright smiles with foreigners and crystal clear ocean lagoons but rarely succeeds in opening up about the "how" to the "what."

I'm Sentimental
Over the course of my hockey career I have had the opportunity to travel. I love it and it is such a different way to see the world than most. We are dropped into a new place but made to feel like it is home straight away. From being toured around the city or town to welcoming faces offering to help settle us in.

London's Kew Gardens
Nestled in Richmond, Kew Gardens is London's horticultural den of tranquility. It is certainly worth the trek to see this South-West London beauty, any time of year! I visited last month, camera in hand, to explore its 75 acres of lush landscape—where it's seemingly Golden Hour all day long.
