Some of the best holidays that one can enjoy is a holiday with the whole family. This would prove relatively easy if your family trip consists of adults, but when children are involved it tends to be quite a messy affair, especially if you haven't planned it properly. So, make sure that before you head out on your holiday you have it all planned out and here's how.

1. Family-Friendly Hotels

If you are travelling with children for a holiday be sure to check out the Singapore hotel promo scene where you will find many child-friendly options and discounts, as well as the best hotels you can book into that, are family-friendly. One of these will include hotels like Park Hotel Clarke Quay. The designs of the hotel, to minute details like a day-care service or kiddie meals will be part and parcel of the hotel package and will be quite beneficial to you and your spouse in the long run, especially with very small children.

2. Kid-Friendly Restaurants

When you go out to eat, check and ensure that the restaurants are kid-friendly so you can take your children with you and so that there will be meals enough for them to enjoy. If you go out to a gourmet restaurant for dinner, not only will your children not like the food, they will also be considered a hindrance to other restaurant-goers. It doesn't always have to be fast food joints for the kid's meal. You will find fine dining restaurants that make food that can be enjoyed by small children. Make a list of all the restaurants that offer kid-friendly services and if you want to go out on a romantic dinner date, you can always leave your children in the capable hands of the hotel day-care.

3. Head to Well Equipped Malls

Many well-equipped malls cater to children's requirements and you can also ensure that these places will have nappy changing stations, shops that sell children's clothing etc because having small children around is a full-time job and you have to be prepared for all kinds of small domestic emergencies. Some malls have baby baths in their bathrooms and rooms for feeding the babies in private. Others are equipped with playgrounds and day-cares for when the little ones get bored with their parents' shopping. You can also find dedicated shopping malls for children's toys and other little knick-knacks that kids enjoy.

4. Educational Tours

Singapore is the best place for educational tours for children that are interactive, fun and engaging. They are also great for parents tagging along and a guarantee that no one will be bored. The Singapore Zoo is one of the best examples. There are plenty of options including behind the scenes for kids signing up to be a zookeeper for a day and also getting to spend times with caregivers and veterinarians. You can also check out guided tours along with the Singapore botanical gardens or planetariums that are specifically designed for children. These would not only give your children a fun experience, but they will come away from it learning something new that they can take with them when you leave.

5. Kid Tickets for Attractions

Places like Universal Studios, Singapore, Bounce Singapore and many more offer kids' tickets to their events as well as family packages for the whole brood. So be sure to check those out and incorporate some of them into the itinerary so the children are kept entertained in various ways. Sometimes something that one child enjoys may not be enjoyed by their older or younger sibling. For it to be a successful family trip the whole family should have a great time.
