Tour of Everest Base Camp in Helicopter is a great way to experience Everest in just one day. Begin helicopter tour from Kathmandu and fly towards to Lukla which is a beautiful Sherpa village.

From here we fly over the Everest Base Camp which is one of the most popular trekking destinations in the world. From our helicopter, we also admire great views of the Khumbu Glacier which is located between Mt. Everest and the Lhotse-Nuptse ridge.

Next, we stop at Kalapathhar for the grandest views of the world’s highest mountain and it’s neighboring Himalayas. Then we fly to Syangboche and spend around twenty minutes at a hotel for breakfast while also admiring the beautiful Himalayan range.

We fly back to Lukla for fueling and return to Kathmandu and end our helicopter day tour of Everest.

The Day Tour of Everest Base Camp in Helicopter gives you a unique opportunity to not only reach the base camp of Everest, the highest mountain on Earth but get the best views of Everest and neighbouring Himalayas.

One of the brightest events that you can arrange for yourself in Nepal is to fly to Everest by helicopter. See the Top of the World, take a lot of photos, fly by a helicopter among the Himalayas, view the base camp of climbers, stand on the top of Kalapattar at 5600 m, drink tea in a Japanese hotel overlooking the main peaks of Nepal. All this is possible in one day. If you go here by the classic route, then it is at least 14 days. This is a standard flight option, there are several others about which you can learn more by writing to me.

A transfer will arrive at the hotel early in the morning and take you to the airport. After going through all the formalities, we will board a helicopter and fly to the Khumbu region. First, stop at Everest View Hotel at 3880 meters. It is equipped with everything needed for travelers from Kathmandu. From here there is a stunning view of the Main Himalayan Range and its main peaks.

Nepal Helicopter Tour

Everest and Lhotse are visible. After a short wait, we board the plane again and now fly to the very heart of the Himalayas - to Everest. Around us are seven and eight thousand legendary mountains: Ama-Dablam, Thamserku, Kantega, Cholatse, Tabuchi, Pumori, Lhotse, Nuptse, and the majestic Everest. The views are breathtaking!

The helicopter flies just a few kilometers from the mountain. You cannot fly around Sagarmatha (the Nepalese name for Everest ) from abroad with China, which runs along the very top. But to fly as close as possible, to fly over the base camp of climbers is yes. If the weather is good, we land on Kalapattara at an altitude of 5600 m.

Namche To EBC Helicopter Tour

One of the best views opens up from here! Huge snowy peaks are very close, creating a phenomenal landscape! Everest rises above us in its unsurpassed beauty so close that it seems you can reach out and touch.

The boarding time is 15-20 minutes, it is no longer worth spending there for security reasons. After that, we return to the Everest View Hotel(highest altitude 3-star hotel, Japanese hotel) at an altitude of 3800. Here you can admire the Himalayas, order breakfast or coffee. In about 40 minutes a helicopter will fly behind us and take us to Kathmandu.

Lukla rest after complete heli flight to EBC

The whole journey takes 5-6 hours. Better to have 1-2 days of weather reserve. There are no restrictions on training, this flight is suitable for all people with average health. It is important to have good sunglasses and a warm jacket with you, apply sun cream on your skin. It is best to wear sports shoes that cover your feet, sometimes there may be snow on Kalapatthar.
