The town of Afton is renowned for its hospitable arch. It is the biggest arch made of elk antlers in the world.

The Call Aircraft Factory, which manufactured CallAir aircraft, had its headquarters here. You can find information about them at the CallAir Museum.

The Cedar Basin Trail leads to the Periodic Springs, one of the area’s natural wonders. The springs are a phenomenon, operating on an 18-minute regular operational cycle where water flows as quickly as 100 cubic feet per second.

Buffalo is a town found in the foothills of the Bighorn Mountains.

The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum is dedicated to Jim Gatchell, a notable figure in Wyoming's history, primarily recognized for his contributions as a pharmacist and historian.  He established the Gatchell Drug Store in Buffalo, Wyoming, in 1900, where he became well-known for his interactions with local settlers and Native American tribes, earning the nickname "Turpy" from the Cheyenne, meaning "He who speaks for them."

Outdoor lovers enjoy the Bighorn National Forest for hiking, fishing, and scenic drives.

The Crazy Woman Canyon is a dramatic gorge with amazing views.

Visitors can stay at the Occidental Hotel, a part of the history of the town, offering them a glimpse into Wild West-style lodging and live music. Guests take guided tours of this historic establishment, which hosted guests like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

West of the famous Fort Laramie Site is the beautiful town of Guernsey. The Oregon Trail Ruts, a national historic site, are a local landmark.

The trails were left by the big wagons traveling westward and are visible still on this property.

The Register Cliff Historic Site is where pioneers etched their names in the rocks to preserve their history. The location was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

Laramie is home to the University of Wyoming, with the Planetarium as one of the special features.

The Deerwood Ranch is a natural setting for horses, located west of town. Established in 1872, the Wyoming Territorial State Historic Site was formerly a US penitentiary that incarcerated criminals.

The Overland Trail Marker, located outside of town, honors those who crossed the trail and serves as a symbol of the Frontier Era.

In an effort to revitalize the downtown area of Laramie, a mural project was started in 2011, and now the town has twenty murals decorating its streets.

Sheridan is south of the Montana border and east of the Bighorn Mountains. From 1913 until 1933 Wyoming’s image was preserved by the Trail End Historic Site, a local monument.

John B. Kendrick, the governor of Wyoming from 1915 to 1917, once resided in this mansion.

With roots in the state’s past, Sheridan Inn offers visitors a glimpse into that bygone era from the 1890s.

In the Bighorn Basin, you’ll find Ten Sleep.

It is a popular winter vacation place with guests staying at the Meadowlark Ski Lodge.

Rock climbers enjoy Ten Sleep Canyon. Local forest life is cared for by the Ten Sleep Preserve.
