Cape Verde is an island country and archipelago state of West Africa in the central Atlantic Ocean. Praia is the capital and largest city of Cape Verde on the southern coast of Santiago Island within the Sotavento Islands group.

The very heart of Praia is Plateau, a vibrant neighborhood with a mix of history, culture, and modernity. It is a great place for shopping and dining. The local shops sell traditional crafts and souvenirs.

Art D'Cabo is a cultural center that exhibits the artwork of local artists. It is interesting to take a glimpse into the art world of the islands and support the local creative community.

The Lazareto is a historical site that once was a quarantine station and prison in the colonial era. Here you can see amazing architecture and learn about its history. The ruins tell stories of resilience and survival while offering stunning views of the surrounding ocean.

You can learn about the diverse cultural heritage of Cabo Verde at the Museum Ethnografico. The collection highlights traditional artifacts, clothing, and tools used during the islands’ unique history and lifestyle through the years.

The Jardin Botânico is a serene escape from the bustling city life.Visitors can see the diverse collection of flora native to Cabo Verde. It is wonderful to wander through the lovely landscaped gardens. This is a conservation area and a beautiful place for a picnic.

Igreja de Nossa Senhora da Graça is an impressive church with stunning architecture. The interior is adorned with beautiful artwork, and the church’s history parallels the cultural evolution of Cabo Verde. Visitors are welcome to attend services or simply explore the peaceful surroundings.

Cova de Bode is an area known for its impressive natural features, including dramatic cliffs and unique rock formations. This is the place to go hiking and explore the coastal landscape. The views from the top and breathtaking.

Ponta de Fragata is known for its scenic vistas and lovely coastline. You can enjoy the beach or watch the waves crash against the cliffs. There are trails to walk and commune with nature.

Prais de Quebra Canela is a popular beach where both locals and tourists swim, sunbathe, and picnic. There are nearby cafes and bars for refreshments.

Santa Maria on the island of Sal have lovely beaches and a vibrant nightlife. The sand is soft and white and the waters are crystal-clear. Visitors can windsurf and snorkel or just ie in the sun and have a refreshing cocktail. The nearby town offers shopping and restaurants. It is rich with historical significance as a former trading post. You can walk through the cobbled streets.

Cidade Velha is the oldest city in Cape Verde and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visitors can see the ruins of the old fort once a pivotal point in the Atlantic slave trade.

Tarrafal Beach is a picturesque destinations nestled in a bay. The nearby village is charming and offers accommodations. The beach is great for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling.
