When people think of UAE, they automatically think of Dubai, Burj Khalifa, and resorts, overall a luxury spot for vacations. Whether it be family or a romantic gateway, UAE has a lot to offer.

So, recently, I have taken a trip to Abu Dhabi-Dubai and let me tell you, everything has changed sporadically. Here are my top 20 picks of my favourite spots in Abu Dhabi-Dubai.

Abu Dhabi

1. Sheikh Zayed Mosque: This grand mosque was built by Sheikh Zayed himself. It is one of the largest mosques in Abu Dhabi. Before you enter the mosque, make sure that you have no food with you, or they will ask you to throw it away. But, if you are looking for a bite to eat, there is a cafe on the grounds of Sheikh Zayed mosque which is a bit expensive. Now I am no expert in history, but you will be mesmerized with the Islamic architecture that is prominent throughout the mosque. Sheikh Zayed has incorporated styles from Turkey, Morocco, Pakistan, and many others. Sheikh Zayed's tomb is also located on the grounds. Even though, the mosque is open to the public, however, be mindful as there is a small section in the mosque which requires a ticket. Personally, when I went there, I wasn't told a ticket is required until after the opening of the section. Maximum hours to spend here: two.
