Most families at one time have gone to a theme park. What kid or adult can resist the thrills of roller coasters or drop towers? But today’s theme parks are stepping up the amusement park experience. You’ll still see the usual rides and attractions, except you’ll find them alongside digital thrills that either take you back in time or propel you into the future.

Welcome to the Modern Park Experience

Park visitors, especially families, want a different kind of entertainment these days. The typical Ferris wheel, water rides, roller coasters, and even the crowd-favourite haunted houses don’t have the same appeal as they did before. With technology improving most things in life, people naturally want innovation in amusement parks.

Operators have responded with immersive tech. Immersion is driving every park experience across the globe, with virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).

You want to escape to a whole new world? Theme parks can take care of that. You want the kids to see what it’s like to travel in space? Theme parks can also deliver that. One example is the Doha Quest Theme Park. This theme park has indoor rides, digital thrills, and lots of space for the whole family to explore — all in one spot at Doha Oasis.

Immersive Tech: VR, 3D Rides, and Time-Travel Thrills

Doha Quest is packed with tech-driven fun. From motion seats and surround sound to VR headsets and themed storylines, the Doha-based theme park doesn't do anything halfway.

One of the popular Doha Quest rides is Time Quest, which puts riders inside a time machine that responds to movement with matching visuals.

At the park’s VR station, you and one other member of the family can plug into a variety of virtual adventures both real and fantastical. If you prefer to engage in a real adventure, the park’s Glide With Firnas offers a 5-minute VR adventure of a paragliding experience. If you’ve always wanted to see what it’s like to try this activity, a VR version would be the safe way to do it.

Other than VR-powered attractions, 3D rides also create quite a bit of fun. One of the more fantastical experiences to try is the Legend of the Oryx. Enjoy this enchanting ride in a 3D theatre, and enter the magical realm of mythical creatures.

Scaled-down versions of the big attractions are also available for younger guests, so no one misses out. Waiting lines include preview screens and short videos to keep everyone entertained. It's all about keeping kids curious and adults impressed.

Family Adventures: What Kids and Parents Will Love

There's a full day of entertainment at Doha Quest for families with children.

In Oryxville, little ones (ages 4–10) can hop on mini versions of the park's signature rides. Older kids and grown-ups get their adrenaline fix on headline attractions, like Gravity and Time Quest. It's all located close together, so families can stick together and move easily from one area to the next.

You can bring strollers, take breaks in shaded seats and follow the posted age and height rules. If you're celebrating a special occasion, birthday packages include decorated rooms, meals and visits from the park's colourful characters.

Characters, Storylines and the Magic of Oryxville

The Oryxville zone brings Qatari-inspired storytelling to life. You'll meet Magis, a kind-hearted magical guide, and other original park mascots here. You'll see them in shows, on the rides, and wandering around ready for photos.

The space is colourful, walkable and packed with themed corners for exploring. Some rides even include interactive touchpoints where kids can ‘unlock’ pieces of the story. It's ideal for children who love make-believe and want to explore independently.

Timings, Tickets and Getting There with Kids in Tow

Doha Quest runs from 2 PM to 10 PM, Monday through Saturday. It's right inside Doha Oasis, and the closest metro stop is Msheireb. From there, it's a short walk — easy with kids in tow.

Tickets are age-based and can be booked online or at the gate. VIP and fast-track passes are also available, along with discounts for groups and schools. Go on weekday afternoons for fewer lines.

Food, Shops, and Comforts for All Ages

Food options range from quick snacks to sit-down meals, most made with families in mind. There are allergy-friendly meals, kids' menus and spots to grab themed sweets. Seating areas are placed throughout, so you never have to go far for a rest.

There are also nursing rooms, prayer areas and accessible toilets. Shops inside sell plush toys, tech gadgets, and seasonal souvenirs. Check the official online store for limited-edition items if you're after something specific.

With its bold tech, convenient facilities and a strong focus on keeping families entertained, Doha Quest Theme Park is built for fun and comfort. Kids stay busy, you stay relaxed and everyone leaves with stories worth repeating.
