feminism
At its core, feminism is the simple conviction that women are equal to men in every regard, and should be treated as such.
I am Human, and Nothing Human is Alien to me. Top Story - January 2022.
In the light of the release of ‘Framing Britney Spears’ documentary, portraying, what seems to be a perpetual tragedy, Spears’ life, I decided to make a little YouTube search and ran across a fan-made documentary series, and the story of Spears’ life shook me.

Women Of The World, You Are Heroes
In early society, women were simply pushed aside and not given the opportunity to go to school or even vote. At least, that’s what many people believe. But the fact of the matter is this wasn't early society. Those events weren’t that long ago. In the U.S., it took us a disgraceful one hundred and forty four years to really even acknowledge women as people, from the year the U.S. was formed in 1776 to the year women were able to vote in 1920. Not only has sexism been prevalent in the U.S. but the discrimination based on race, religion, and beliefs have been major problems as well. And because of these problems, our society has failed to accept many wonderful people for these meaningless reasons.

Poise Zen
Femininity has been reframed as time goes on, but it is so much deeper than appearance and pussy. Femininity is an energy, an embodiment of Venus and the strength and discipline of Saturn, wrapped in the desires of the entire world. When I think of femininity, I think of my fertility and ability to nurture myself and my life; the ability to create not only a life but experiences and outcomes. I think of planting seeds with everything I put my energy into. I think of validity in everything I decide for myself, all while having a “validate me not” mindset, as I begin to poise myself instead of generations of lack mindsets who would simply not understand. Being so balanced and sure of yourself that you allow your soul to express itself through your body. Turning up the heat unexpectedly, expressing my true desires without a lens of guilt.

The Gone Girl Revival. Top Story - January 2022.
Spoiler warning! Gone Girl, both the book and the movie, have seen a resurgence in the past six months or so. Snippets of the 'Cool Girl Monologue' have been floating around Tiktok, and aesthetic images of Amy Dunne are appearing on Instagram, with captions claiming 'she did nothing wrong'. Of course, with lockdown it was inevitable that many movies would find many new viewers, particularly films that were very popular when they first came out, but there has been a certain added attraction to movies with highly gender-based commentaries: American Psycho, Fight Club, and Gone Girl, to name a few. The reasons for this Gone Girl resurgence in particular are a complex tale of anger, counter-movement and irony.

The Mysterious Genital Sculptures That Adorn Britain's Churches. Top Story - January 2022.
Sheela Na Gigs are seemingly erotic stone carvings of female figures predominately found in Romanesque churches. What's special about them? Well these sculptures consist of an old disproportionate woman squatting and pulling apart her vulva, a fairly strange thing to find in a church.

Beyond #MeToo: What Ghislaine Maxwell's Conviction Means For Victims of Sexual Harassment
Ghislaine Maxell, the socialite and long time associate of the financier, late Jeffrey Epstein, has been convicted of recruiting underage girls for the latter. This high profile and keenly watched trial is also notable for the effect it would have on the #MeToo movement and its impact on other victims of sexual harassment. Indeed, the conviction of Ghislaine Maxwell should spur other women to come forward and more importantly, pursue their perpetrators till justice is served. The last point, for me, is the most important takeaway of this case involving the high and the mighty i.e., not letting the momentum generated by the #MeToo movement dissipate as well as ensuring that cases go to trial and bring closure to the victims and their families. While the case involving Ghislaine Maxwell generated prime time media attention as it involved the Who’s Who of American elite, there are countless other cases which do not receive the same kind of coverage and hence, there is a reason to feel hopeful that victims of sexual harassment can draw inspiration from this case and fight for justice.

How Does Being A Woman Hinder My Understanding of The Game of Football?
After registering my name at the entrance, I am directed into the main hall of the seminar. There’s just some background music and many young people facing their phones. Until there’s an announcement from the speakers: ‘We do not want to see anyone sitting. Everyone must proceed to the gallery behind. There are drinks there. You must begin or join a conversation with someone beside you.’
