The Christmas Party and Sexual Harassment
But despite all the fun and games, Christmas parties can occasionally have a much darker side. In recent years the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment and sexual assault has been sweeping the globe. It’s main aim is to show prevalence and to show other individuals going through the same thing that they are not alone. It has not only risen awareness in general but has also highlighted the some of those ‘innocent’ work party events are actually sexual harassment and assault in the workplace.

10 Reasons Why It Pays to Be a Feminist
Manny people think feminism is a dirty word reserved for angry women with armpit hair. Whether you take this stance or believe that it should be shouted in the streets and celebrated as the equality amongst sexes it stands for, there are multiple reasons why it pays to be a feminist. Male or female, feminism bridges the gap, and liberates all people from tainted beliefs and false narratives. Men are expected to act a certain way, and women are expected to do the same. Meanwhile, we are all stuck pointing fingers and accusing one another when all we need to do is open the floor to conversation on acceptance and understanding. Shattering false narratives and building new ones for the benefit of all is what it's all about. We are all equal—regardless of our sex, gender, or race. Failing to recognize this is what has gotten us in a lot of the trouble we experience today.

Expectations of the Female
Buckle your seatbelts, folks! I have some bones to pick. Today, I am going to speak about modern women and the new standards that have somehow been set. I am 21 years old. I was born in 1997. I'm not old. But I'm also not super young. A lot of women in my generation have gone on and on about fighting for women to be able to be independent, work, go to college, and depend only on themselves.

10 Most Ridiculous Products Made "For Girls"
How often do you see desperation in its purest form? In case it's not often, I collected several examples to remind you. While these ridiculous products made “for girls” are somewhat useless, they manage to capture an important societal issue. We have come far in many ways, yet lack in others. These products not only scream stereotypical gender norms, but they also prove how low companies will go when competing for attention and sales. In the end, it is a reflection of us as a whole and the work that still needs to get done. By overcoming certain ideals in consumerism, we empower one another as both the buyer and individual.

12 Holiday Gifts That Support LGBTQ Charities
Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning or queer individuals have made a lot of headway in the fight for equality. Prejudice, on institutional and individual levels, is far from eradicated, and there is plenty of work left to be done. Luckily, LGBTQ charities abound to fight together for a better future for everyone. That's why holiday gifts that support LGBTQ charities are a great way to take advantage of the holiday season, showing your support to the members and allies in your life while supporting the very organizations that are working to improve these lives across the globe. Pride Month, in June, is not the only time we should be talking about and supporting these important movements.

The Fear Behind Cat Calling
There was an instance some years ago where I was leaving my mother's house late at night. Before heading home, I decided to head towards a fast food place and grab a quick bite. It was a Sunday night and, being a relatively small town, the streets were empty. As I crawled to a stop at a red light, I noticed a white car that was in the second lane to my left. Two men looked to be in their early 30s and, once I stopped right next to them, were staring dead in my direction.

Visit to Nurse
I’ve come the the conclusion (as I am sure most of the ladies have out there), that having as vagina is not easy. The amount of poking that we have to endure throughout our life, wether it be from a penis, a finger or some medical device is amazing, well sometimes...

What I Really Mean When I Say Me Too
The #MeToo movement has given a voice to countless women (and men, but for the purposes of this article, I’m just going to refer to women) who have survived sexual violence. For many, it was the first time they were able to admit to being a survivor of a sexual assault. For others, it was something they’d already announced to the world, so to speak, and writing those two little words really wasn’t such a big deal.
