Recreational Feminism
Feminist discourse is increasingly easy to get involved in. Due to the rise of social media and the internet, anyone can have their say from anywhere. I could be taken as an example of this: sitting in my bedroom, typing away about my opinions on everything. Myself, along with many other teenagers, have found feminist discourse to be interwoven with every type of media- most prominently on TikTok. I know I have a tendency to relate many cultural phenomena back to this app, but (especially for teenagers) the impact it has had on many aspects of life cannot be underestimated.

To all the women who read this...
With years to live, we find cure. We manage to look away from the fear that haunts our soul, our hearts and questions our decisions. We keep living in denial. We keep loving in hope. We keep going with our duties to be and sometimes not to be. No one stops us from pretending and no one asks if we are okay. But, we are better than you, in many ways than just one. Along with the care we give, we also share with you a portion of trust and faith. The responsibilities are plenty, no matter how calm we may seem, it’s probably the ‘dramatic’ version of us that knows how to keep it all well in control for you to live in peace. We are the women who support you, guide you and inspire you to build a world of patience, peace and purpose.

Is It About Health or Beauty?. Top Story - February 2023.
Coming around my side of the desk, he reached and took my hand in his. Glancing down, I saw the telltale stocking feet. Pulling free, I turned for the door, but even more quickly he reached back over the edge of his desk and flicked a switch I had learned from Colby was a remote door-locking device. I was trapped. Like the cartoon of wolf and piglet, once again we circled and reversed directions around his furniture. Blessed with the agility of a young dancer and confronted by an amorous but overweight producer, I had little difficulty avoiding passionate clumsiness. -Shirley Temple (Source: https://www.ranker.com/list/tragic-shirley-temple-stories/rob-chirico
