NFL Week 13 Recap: Leftovers
If there's a holiday known for leftovers, it's Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving leftovers could span about two extra days, three if you're lucky. In the case of the NFL's Thanksgiving weekend, following the three Turkey Day games and the Black Friday game, we get a lot of leftovers--in the form of the remaining 12 games (11 on Sunday, and one on Monday). The one that is giving me the most concern is the meeting between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Buffalo Bills, and regarding the former, they entered Sunday on top of the AFC North due to the Ravens fizzling. They had a 7-3 lead at halftime; it was looking good.

For decades, the Washington Commanders were one of the NFL’s most iconic and complicated franchises—a team shaped by victories, controversies, loyal fans, unforgettable legends, and years of turbulence behind the scenes. But today, the Commanders are entering a new chapter. A shift in ownership, fresh leadership, and a bold long-term strategy are rebuilding the culture from the ground up. Crystal Palace vs Manchester United: A Match Showing Two Teams on Different Trajectories . AI-Generated.
Setting the Scene When Crystal Palace hosted Manchester United at Selhurst Park, the fixture appeared routine on paper. United, one of the Premier League’s most decorated clubs, were expected to dominate a mid-table Palace side still figuring out its rhythm under new leadership. But football rarely follows the logic written in the league table. Instead, what played out was a telling reflection of two clubs—one quietly climbing through steady progress and the other stuck between identity and execution.

NFL Week 13 Thanksgiving & Black Friday Recap: A Seat at the Table
Thanksgiving, for many decades, has always been about the three "Fs": family, food, and football. When it comes to that latter third, the football is often competitive, as Thanksgiving always kicks off the home stretch of the NFL season. Now it would be wild enough if it was just Thanksgiving, but in 2023, Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) became part of the wonderful madness as well. So after feasting on food and football, you sleep it off, then wake up at crazy hours to beat the crowds and shop for the holidays, and then make it home in time for one more game for that day. Beautiful!

28-14 Victory Over Harrison Readies Somers for Rematch Versus Rye
Scroll to end for photos After going into the locker room with a 20-0 lead, the semifinals of the sectionals versus Harrison seemed well in hand. Hold on, a 70 yard touchdown run by the QB Jack Badner got the Tuskers attention, and more so when Harrison stopped the two seed on the next sequence. So with the Huskies taking the momentum, Somers needed a reset and muscle was the game plan.

John Jay’s Season ends on the Pleasantville Whistle Stop
See Photos Below On Thursday October 30, John Jay traveled to Pleasantville for the semifinals and the cold, rainy welcome obviously wasn’t the only obstacle. The Panthers jumped out to a 2-0 lead and the Wolves looked dead in the water. Not quite, the girls cut the lead in half and with two minute left in the game, the tying goal landed in the net. Unfortunately, the whistle said otherwise.

Rangers vs Braga: A Tense Night at Ibrox Ends in a Frustrating Draw. AI-Generated.
Who: The Teams and Stakes On 27 November 2025, Rangers hosted Braga at Ibrox in their fifth match of the 2025/26 UEFA Europa League group stage. Rangers entered the night searching for their first victory of the campaign, aware that anything short of a win would leave their hopes of advancing in serious danger. Braga arrived in stronger group-stage form and aimed to build on it, but the match would take a sharp turn as disciplinary incidents shaped the flow of the contest.

Let's Get Dangerous! (Week 13)
Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are here. We have arrived. The first 12 weeks were insane, wild, crazy, and chaotic, but we have now made it to the final one-third of the season. Thanksgiving always kicks off that home stretch in the NFL season, as the holiday begins the league's last stop before it enters the pivotal month of December. This is my fifth year covering the NFL playoff races in this manner on Vocal, and it's also the fifth year of the NFL's current 18-week regular season.

Somers Runs Through Brewster for 30-0 Victory
See Photos Below When Antonio Accurso picked off Tristan Iglesias with 4:43 left in the first half, it was the third stop Brewster put on Somers in a 7-0 game. “They came out strong,” said RJ Peterson. So a spark was needed, and the bolt came out of the backfield.

NFL Week 12 Recap: Overtime, Comebacks, and an Elimination
One thing I've learned years ago is that there is always something extra special about that last week before Thanksgiving. In the NFL, Thanksgiving marks the beginning of playoff talks becoming the most serious, but that last week before the holiday seems to bring out the wildest moments. This season's Week 12 was no exception.
