Life challenges
Dauphine, Texas Tech's first commit of the 2015 recruiting cycle, was not a widely-known prospect when he pledged to the Red Raiders in Feb. 2014. The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect wasn't a full-time starter at Port Arthur Memorial in 2013 and, at that point, Lamar was the only other program that had offered. He didn't stay under the radar for very long. Houston and Washington State offered, then Arizona State, Baylor, TCU and Texas A&M followed. Even Michigan, under newly hired Jim Harbaugh, made a late run. In the end, Dauphine took a few visits but decided to stick with his commitment to Texas Tech.

Before Donald Trump Destroyed America, He Laid Waste to the USFL
When the USFL hit the scene, the idea of spring football was pretty intriguing. The new league then signed Herschel Walker and notice was demanded. I probably tuned in and likely didn’t last more than a few plays. The same goes for the first USFL Championship game in 1983. More high profile signings following and the piqued interest ebbed again. None of these people were Giants, so the league was more a nuisance to me, and the move to fall sounded absolutely ridiculous. The three dollar settlement amused in the extreme, and the silliness was appropriately relegated to the dustheap. But when I heard Jeff Pearlman was writing a book, that also sounded intriguing, and I’m glad I gave it more than a passing glance.

Why Cam Newton Is The Perfect Quarterback For New England In 2020.
Anyone that knows me knows I am a die-hard New England Patriots fan. My love affair started with them in 2004 during my first year of college at the University of Tampa. I was an incoming freshman and all my college friends were from everywhere but Florida. There were a group of guys that I met from Boston, Massachusetts with full blown Good Will Hunting accents and everything. These guys were literally out of a scene from the movie. They were hard core Patriots fans and taught me the game of football while watching the AFC championship playoffs. This was during the beginning of the Brady era in Foxborough when he was a young phenom. Being a Brady girl, I never really thought the day would come when I would see another quarterback in that position and be genuinely happy, that wasn't Brady. I definitely never imagined that Brady wouldn't end his career with the Pats and would take his talents to Tampa Bay.

Coffey, Shaw roll through challenges
August 28, 2020 was a historic day for East Cleveland's Shaw High School football program. It was the team's first game during the COVID-19 pandemic. The nation is also dealing with a challenging issue of police brutality and killings towards African Americans. Shaw happens to be a team comprised entirely of black coaches and players.

We don't need college sports right now
I'm going to state this right off the bat for this article, this is a little more of a rant than my usual articles and also a lot more serious. As a former athlete, I feel a need to talk about this topic of college sports postponing (not canceling) their fall sports seasons until the spring.

So College Football...what's next?. Top Story - August 2020.
With the Big Ten & Pac-12 cancelling Fall Sports and my Sooners having 9 New Positive Tests Yesterday the future of the 2020 College Football Season has never been more bleak. Trevor Lawrence, arguably the sports biggest current star, made the last ditch plea to the Power 5 before the Big Ten & Pac-12 voted with this post:
