How the Kentucky Wildcats Will Fare the Rest of the Season
The University of Kentucky Men’s Basketball team is usually known for winning games and championships. In fact, the Wildcats are the winningest program in the nation with 2,239 wins. But after a close loss to University of Kansas, they still have a long way to go this season. Even in the previous two games, the final scores were too close. This is not anything new though, as Kentucky has faced this kind of uphill battle before in previous seasons.

Understanding the Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks may be the most unassuming franchise in the NBA. Sharing a city with the NFL’s Cowboys, they are always competing locally for second fiddle, and despite only two seasons without playoffs since the turn of the century, they also garner little national media exposure. In any other state, they would be revered royalty, but General Manager Donnie Nelson’s airtight operation is still only second-best when it comes to Texas basketball. Combine this with 20 years of leadership by a foreign superstar and few-to-no egocentric American headline-grabbing hotdogs, and you have a franchise going about its winning ways without much attention from the public.

Michigan State is the Best Team in the Nation
Preseason polls are crazy. That’s just a fact of life when it comes to college sports. There are 347 teams in Division 1; it’s unreasonable to expect anyone to be able to rank them with any real accuracy, especially when they haven’t played any games yet. That being said, there is a massive mistake at the top of the table. Duke currently stands at number 1 while Michigan State ranks 2; the truth is exactly the opposite. Let’s get into it.

How Brad Stevens Is Accomplishing Defensive Genius in Boston
Over the past five years, we’ve seen magic in Boston. This isn’t a reference to the number of street performers you might see while strolling around Faneuil Hall or the halftime show at TD Garden. It has to do with the rabbits that Brad Stevens constantly pulls out of his hat on a yearly basis. We’ve seen him turn rebuilding teams into playoff participants, manufacture after timeout plays that become guaranteed points, and even transform a 5'9" point guard into a perennial All-Star. Yet through the first few games, we already seeing how Brad Stevens saved his best trick for this season by turning these Celtics into the best defensive unit in basketball.

San Antonio Spurs: The Standard of Excellence
This hurts to write coming from a die-hard Laker fan. But, while the Spurs do not have the rings to contend with Boston and Los Angeles, they have etched their place as the third greatest franchise in NBA history. When Gregg Popovich is not busy becoming America’s favorite coach by lambasting the President of the United States, he is busy winning.

Super Teams Don't Care About The Regular Season
The Cavs and Warriors are not atop their respective conferences (or non-respective in the East's situation), and it is making people crazy. After three straight years of a Cavs and Warriors Finals, people expect to see it again this season.

We Should Take a Lesson from the Paul George/Oladipo & Sabonis Trade
If you're reading this right now there's a good chance you've already read something along these lines. Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis' exponential rise with the Indiana Pacers have been one of the most talked-about storylines of the early NBA season.

Brandon Ingram May Not Become a Superstar, but Why Can’t He Be?
“The next Kevin Durant." Those were the words on everyone’s lips throughout 2016, Brandon Ingram’s one and only year at Duke University. That year, he shot to the top of draft boards across the country.

It's Time For LeBron To Hand The Crown Off To Giannis
For years, people have been trying to remove LeBron James as the league’s best player. Ever since he uttered the words, “not five, not six, not seven...” people have stormed the castle as they tried to find a possible suitor. The Anthony Davis believers have fallen quiet, as the extremely talented center has only carried his team to over 40 wins once in his career. Numerous stars looked like potential candidates, but simply haven’t been able to reach LeBron’s greatness. Some argue Kevin Durant did it last year, but those are just his burner accounts fighting the good fight for him.
