A shocking video has surfaced from Pune, Maharashtra. The player died on the spot after suffering a heart attack during an ongoing match at a cricket tournament in Junnar area. Scenes of the cricketer’s death on a cricket pitch were captured on camera. The video clearly shows a player named Babu Nalwade standing on a non-strike and talking to the umpire for a while. After this he immediately sits on the pitch and after few seconds falls into the pitch. Seeing this the Empire immediately calls another player. After this, a player named Babu Nalwade was rushed to the hospital. Doctors at the hospital pronounced the player dead.

Babu Nalwade’s family is shocked by the death and even his friends cannot believe that his friend is no more in this world. This is not the first time a player has suffered a heart attack in an ongoing match. Even before this, many players have had heart attacks in the current match. This is very shocking news for his family & cricket fans.

“He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. An autopsy confirmed that he had had a heart attack,” an official from Narayangaon police station was quoted as saying in News18.

The incident in Pune has refreshed the memories of 2014 when Australian batsman Phillip Hughes lost his life. During a Sheffield Shield game, the left-hander was hit on the head off a Sean Abbott delivery. He was then rushed to the hospital where he fought for two days before bidding adieu to mother earth.

It happened before India’s tour of Australia. Abbot, who bowled the bouncer, had to go through a lot of counselling to get over what happened. Ever since then, the importance of using helmets has been iterated plenty of times. Making the helmets more effective has also been talked about.

In 2019, the concussion substitute also came into place and Marnus Labuschagne became one after Steve Smith was concussed. A number of batters have been hit on the head from there on, and have been substituted. In 2013, a 32-year-old Daniel Randall lost his life after he got hit on the side of his head while playing a pull shot.

Zulfiqar Bhatti, aged 32, lost his life after he was hit on the chest and lost consciousness during a domestic match in Pakistan. In 2012, Richard Beaumont passed away after a suspected heart attack during a county league match in England.

After taking five wickets, he collapsed on the pitch. He was taken to the hospital but was declared dead. Former Indian Test cricketer Raman Lamba died after getting hit on the head during a league cricket match in Bangladesh.

Mahesh alias Babu was a resident of Dholwad in the Junnar tehsil of Pune. Such incidents have been happening in the past where cricketers have died while playing the match. The death of Phil Hughes was an unfortunate event that led the ICC to strengthen certain rules regarding wearing the helmet and so on.

Raman lamba

Indian cricket team player Raman lamba was fielding during match, when the ball hit his head and he fell unconscious on the field. He was immidiately sifted to a hospital, where he was innounced dead at the same time.

Philip Hughes

Australian star batsman Philip Hughes died on the cricket pitch. During the match, Philip Hughes was hit in the head by a bouncer, which caused him to fall on the pitch. After the tragedy Philip Hughes remained in a coma for 3 days and died on 27 November.

Richard Beaumont

England player Richard Beaumont died of a heart attack on a cricket field in 2012.
