'Game of Thrones' Season 7: Dreams, Destiny, & Prophecies
Amidst the bevy of dragons, wights, and incestual sex, one theme stood as the baseline for the entirety of season 7: identity. From Jon Snow to Daenerys Targaryen, each major character (and some minor ones) spent the season discovering who they are. The search for identity in Game of Thrones is not a new theme. In fact, identity has been an intrinsic part of the show from the very beginning.

Taijuan Walker Is Starting to Get It
It’s the middle of August, and the Arizona Diamondbacks find themselves in the thick of the National League Wild Card chase. As it stands today, the D-Backs are in control of the second Wild Card position behind the Colorado Rockies. Arizona’s success has come on the strength of their starting pitching, which has accumulated the third most Wins Above Replacement in Major League Baseball, according to FanGraphs. One of their best starters this year has been longtime object-of-attention Taijuan Walker, who is our topic of discussion today.

The Three Point Shot Will Flip NBA Basketball
We are in the midst of a three point revolution. Seemingly started by Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors two years ago, teams are taking more threes than ever before. Basketball analytics has contributed to this outburst of long range shooting, as coaches and players have realized that it is better to shoot more threes and layups than mid range jumpers.

The Unsung Fantasy Baseball MVPs of 2017
There’s not a single fantasy expert who wouldn’t tell you to pick Mike Trout in the first round of a fantasy draft. Year after year, Trout consistently provides top-tier values in the relevant categories: Runs, RBIs, HRs, SB, and BA. He’s never injured. He’s not just the best player in baseball, he’s the best player in fantasy baseball as well.

The Free Agency Storm Is Coming
Well, that was quick. Before I could even write my story on how Chris Paul would give the Spurs an edge over the Warriors, he was putting out his thank you’s and goodbyes to LA fans and heading to Houston. That's the thing with free agency. So much build up, but it's normally all in place before players can even sign. (Unless you are DeAndre Jordan). Will players get locked into their own house this year? Wouldn't bet against it. There has been so much talk about Blake Griffin, Gordon Hayward and Paul George that people are forgetting the rest of this free agency class. And just to remind NBA fans, it’s really f-ing good. In this article, I want to highlight some names outside of the big fish of free agency who could really move the needle for several teams.

Warren Sapp Said What About Myles Garret?
NFL HOF’er Warren Sapp has been all over the headlines on this football-less Sunday, but the story actually has little to do with him. As you may have heard by now, he said that he doesn’t think that the likely No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett is worthy of going first overall. He stated that he thinks the former Texas A&M standout is “lazy” and only makes “4 plays a game.” Whether or not these claims can be substantiated or whether you and I believe them are one thing, but the source of the claims are another.

How Deserving Is OBJ of the Highest Paid Title?
As of today the highest paid player in the NFL is newly signed Oakland Raiders quarter back Derick Carr at 25 million per year on average. Number 2 and 3 on the list are also quarter backs — Andrew Luck, and Drew Brees come in just short at 24.6 million per year and 24.3 million. So the question has to be asked, how big of a leap would it be for OBJ to gain the top spot as a wide receiver considering it is a quarter back driven league? The answer would be massive and even then that may be an understatement.

Chucking Russ’ & Why You Really Can’t Blame Em’
The Oklahoma City Thunder squeaked one out in Game 3, after allowing the Rockets to close the gap on a large lead they had for much of the game. There was something interesting about Game 3 though, and that was that it looked pretty similar to their losses in this series, and the rest of the games for the Thunder this season. After Game 2’s loss that saw Russell take an inordinate amount of shots in the fourth quarter, after dominating the first three, the critics came out hawking him for his shot selection and amount taken. Game 3 should puzzle the hell out of them then, because he approached it the same way he has been which is indicated by the second triple double he achieved in a row, although slightly toned down. The point here is that he has to do what he does on a regular basis, let us take a look at why.

2016 NFL Playoff Teams: Fluke or for Real?
For as many times as the Patriots make it to the AFC Championship game and the Packers put themselves in the playoff picture, each year there are multiple teams that seemingly come out of the blue to achieve big time success.
