The Fight in Little Phoenix
Trust me. We parents have all been there. The setting could be a sports field or a kitchen table. The matter at hand could be trying to hit even a slowly thrown baseball or calculating the answer to a problem that begins with something like "If one train left Topeka at 7 AM going 70 miles per hour, and another..." We have all seen our children either be on the verge of tears or into full-blown hyperventilating crying out of the simple frustration of not being able to do something—whatever than something may be!

Why the Ducks Are Not a Measuring Stick for Your Program
The University of Oregon football team changed the landscape of college football over the last 10 years. They set trends with many uniform combinations, fast-paced, no huddle football. The program was defined by Coach Chip Kelly, Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, and consistent winning. Being that football is a copycat sport, a lot of high school coaches tried to emulate this style, under the assumption that what works for a Pac-12 Powerhouse will help them win on Friday night.

Combat Sports Night at a Bar Can Be Fun
After a long day of the district softball tournament, I went to Wild Rivers Bar and Grill in East Wenatchee for a couple of cold ones and dinner to end the day. Is Tyreek Hill Fit to Play in the NFL?
Repeat offender (at least to this writer’s principles) Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs from the NFL has shown that it depends on the character of the person if second chances are worthy or will work. Recently, an audio was leaked of Hill being recorded by his fiancée, Crystal Espinal. That 11-minute audio was published by KCTV5 and recorded while Hill and Espinal were walking in Dubai International Airport. Even though the contents of the audio were shocking, it was also not very surprising given Hill’s past demonstration of his shallow character.
