CFL Week 15 Recap: Just What the Doctor Ordered
The final one-third of the 2024 CFL season got underway in Vancouver, the home of the upcoming 111th Grey Cup. The Toronto Argonauts have designs on making that trip to Vancouver their first of two this season, but we have had major problems lately. My last recap saw me absolutely rant about the Argos' struggles, as well as Chad Kelly being back so soon. Even so, I was on the optimistic side when it came to the Argos' trip to Vancouver to face the BC Lions.

Top Scoring Players on Fantasy Football (Week 2)
Week 2 was a tad better for me than Week 1 was in Fantasy Football. After winning three of my eight matchups on Week 1, Week 2 saw me win half of my matchups, and two of my teams are 2-0. Quite a few key fantasy performances took place during Week 2, and they really made some owners very pleased. Well, unless they were playing against them, then they were probably tearing their hair out and saying that their season was over.

Brewers Take NL Central and Become 1st to Clinch in 2024
It's always a good feeling to be the first team in your league to clinch a spot in the playoffs, because that's one step in a multi-layered goal: winning a championship. In the case of the 2024 MLB season, that honor went to the Milwaukee Brewers, who had a stranglehold on the National League Central for months. The Brewers had their first opportunity to clinch the division on Tuesday, needing a win and a Chicago Cubs loss. A funny thing: the Cubs did lose at home to the lowly Oakland Athletics, but unfortunately, the Brewers fell to the Philadelphia Phillies.

NFL Week 2 Recap: Where There's a Willis, There's a Way
It is not a good time for sports fans in Baltimore right now. The Orioles continue to slip behind the New York Yankees in the American League East, and while they are hanging to the #1 Wild Card position in the American League, they would rather have home field in a Division Series instead of the Wild Card Series. But don't worry, Baltimore. After all, there's still the Ravens, right?

The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the best teams in the NBA. Following an elimination in last season’s Western Conference Semifinals, an NBA Finals appearance in the 2024-2025 season is an expectation. The Thunder have only had one Finals appearance and have yet to win it all.

32 Year Drought Continues For San Francisco 49ers After Week 2 Loss To Minnesota
The San Francisco 49ers dominated in week 1. They had a much more difficult time in week 2 against the Minnesota Vikings. One of the storylines going into the matchup was how long it has been since the team has won in Minnesota. The last time the 49ers won in Minnesota was week 15 of the 1992 season. They had a chance to end the drought, but it will continue after the current NFC North leader dominated San Francisco.

Aaron Judge’s Gargantuan 2024 is Nothing Short of Amazing
Aaron Judge hit a grand slam as the Yankees beat the Red Sox 5-4 on Friday, September 13. At that time, the Yankees had a three-game lead over the Orioles, their largest in three months. He is having another fabulous season leading the Yankees. What we are witnessing is history. That said, there is something Judge, the Captain of the Yankees, must do to cement his legacy.

We are now in the heart of the month of September; two weeks left in the 2024 MLB season, and still, not one of the 12 postseason berths has been snatched up. However, three additional teams have seen their seasons come to an end: the Los Angeles Angels, the Washington Nationals, and the Oakland Athletics. The A's last postseason came during that COVID-affected 2020 campaign, while the Nationals haven't played October baseball since winning the World Series in 2019. It was the news we’d all been waiting for – The Princess of Wales had completed her chemotherapy.
