Windy City Woes
The Colorado Avalanche completed an absolutely successful homestand that saw us win three of the four games, and pick up seven out of the maximum eight points. The Avs' overall eight-game point streak was on the line in this first game of a three-game road trip, and our first stop: Chicago. The Avs have had a knack for beating the Blackhawks over the years, mainly ever since the two teams became division foes in 2013.

Colorado Avalanche fans (myself especially) were still celebrating that huge comeback win over the Buffalo Sabres, which was our sixth straight win. Next up for the Avs: a Saturday battle with the Montréal Canadiens, our former longtime perennial foes from our days as the Quebec Nordiques. NFL Week 18 Recap: The Final Pieces
Well, football fans, this was it. The final day of the 2024 NFL season, with the last 14 remaining games in the overall schedule. Week 18 kicked off with the two AFC North games on Saturday, which saw the Baltimore Ravens win easily over the Cleveland Browns to win the division, while the Cincinnati Bengals won on the road over the Pittsburgh Steelers to earn the right to at least do some scoreboard watching to see if they get in.
