Have a Seat
Seems like yesterday I was waiting for this season to start. Yet here it is, heading towards the end of January, with the Four Nations break just a week and a half away. The Colorado Avalanche are in the East Coast for three games, and the second game was a huge clutch win at Madison Square Garden over the Rangers. The trip came to an end with a trip to Long Island against the Islanders. The Avs were looking to continue to keep pace with the Central Division's Top 3; it has not been easy.

Jake Paul and Logan Paul Just Shook the Internet
The internet just lost its mind again. Jake Paul and Logan Paul, the brothers who turned YouTube antics into million-dollar combat sports careers, dropped a cryptic bombshell on social media. A head-to-head face-off. The HBO Max logo. A date that’s closing in fast. No context, no details, just a bold promise—the moment you’ve waited a decade for.

Is This Finally the Year for the Maple Leafs?
I've been sitting on this for over a month, but the NFL season's insanity have caused me to put this on hold. But let me set the scene here. We are almost in February, we are two weeks away from the Four Nations break, and the Toronto Maple Leafs are in first place in the Atlantic Division. The Leafs have been leading the division for a good bit, but now, it's getting serious.

Super Bowl 2025 And Why Everyone Is Mad
You could almost feel the collective groan ripple through the internet. The Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles are headed to Super Bowl 2025, and if you thought fans were thrilled, you’d be wildly off the mark. Instead of excitement, the announcement unleashed a flood of memes, rants, and outright jokes across social media. Love it or hate it, this is the kind of chaos that only sports fandom can deliver.

Nothing Surprises Me Anymore
The stage is set: The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on February 9. It doesn't surprise me that the Chiefs would make it to the Big Game yet again. It's not the match-up I or many people want to see. Honestly, the more certain teams make it to the Super Bowl multiple times in a few years, the less watchable the Big Game is for me. The Chiefs are like the New England Patriots. A Commanders-Bills match-up would've been awesome to see, but it didn't end up happening. People, including myself, are suffering from so-called "Chiefs fatigue." In other words, we're tired of them making it to the Super Bowl every year. I'm convinced that the NFL is rigged. I've watched several videos on YouTube recently about many, not all, Super Bowl games favoring certain teams. One example of this was Super Bowl XLVII at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana featuring The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. During the second half, there was a blackout, which lasted for 34 minutes. After the lights came back on and play resumed, the 49ers scored 17 unanswered points to make it a 28-23 game. However, Justin Tucker added a pair of field goals for the Ravens and Kaepernick added a 15-yard touchdown run. Nonetheless, the Ravens held on to win the game.

New Look, Same Clutch Moments
Before the Conference Championship games started, I got into some early hockey on Sunday. The Colorado Avalanche were playing the second half of a back-to-back, and similar to the previous day's game, it was a matinee start. Saturday was the Avs' first game since the Mikko Rantanen trade, and it was a loss to the Boston Bruins. After falling against a struggling Boston team, we headed to Madison Square Garden to face off against the New York Rangers, finishing that season series as well. The Rangers, who had been struggling for most of this season, were now on a ten-game points streak and looked to capitalize further.

Conference Championship Recap: I've Seen This Movie Before
Conference Championship Sunday. Always an awesome treat. I've said this many times on here, the final round before the big one is always epic. The NFL has the Conference Championships since 1970. MLB has the League Championship Series, which started a year prior in 1969. The NBA and NHL each have the Conference Finals as the last round before a champion is crowned. Both Conference Championships often take place on Sunday, though some have said that we should see one game on Saturday, while the other occurs on Sunday. A benefit to that idea is that each game would air on primetime, but it's actually fine that both games play on Sunday, mainly because one conference champion could receive an extra day of rest before the Super Bowl, and that wouldn't exactly be fair.
