Nothing Surprises Me Anymore

Chiefs eek out a win Sunday night to reach the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six seasons

The stage is set: The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on February 9. It doesn't surprise me that the Chiefs would make it to the Big Game yet again. It's not the match-up I or many people want to see. Honestly, the more certain teams make it to the Super Bowl multiple times in a few years, the less watchable the Big Game is for me. The Chiefs are like the New England Patriots. A Commanders-Bills match-up would've been awesome to see, but it didn't end up happening. People, including myself, are suffering from so-called "Chiefs fatigue." In other words, we're tired of them making it to the Super Bowl every year. I'm convinced that the NFL is rigged. I've watched several videos on YouTube recently about many, not all, Super Bowl games favoring certain teams. One example of this was Super Bowl XLVII at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on February 3, 2013 in New Orleans, Louisiana featuring The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers. During the second half, there was a blackout, which lasted for 34 minutes. After the lights came back on and play resumed, the 49ers scored 17 unanswered points to make it a 28-23 game. However, Justin Tucker added a pair of field goals for the Ravens and Kaepernick added a 15-yard touchdown run. Nonetheless, the Ravens held on to win the game.

There has been a conspiracy theory that Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL was in on the over half-hour power outage that occurred during the last half of that game.

Super Bowls being rigged is nothing new. It has been happening for decades. Even former and legendary players have spoken out against this shady practice. The aforementioned example is one of the reasons why many people don't have faith in the NFL when it comes to fairness. The last Super Bowl I watched was Super Bowl LI, which took place in Houston in 2017. Lady Gaga was the performer and she slayed that performance. Probably one of the best Super Bowl halftime shows I've ever watched. She sang some of her old songs and I was singing along to them. I loved every minute of her performance. If you haven't watched it, you should. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I found a tweet on Twitter. I'm not calling it X, because it'll always be Twitter to me. Anyway, this tweet (shown above) sums up how I feel about the Chiefs-Eagles Big Game match-up. I could care less about these two teams, because I'm not a fan of either one. It'll be boring and I have no plans of watching it. I might check out the commercials, which is my favorite thing about the Super Bowl. If anyone invites me to watch the game, I would politely decline their invitation. I've had my suspicions for years that the NFL was rigged, but I wasn't sure. After watching a lot of these videos discussing this topic, my suspicions were correct. It's like there's no integrity or fairness anymore. The NFL is so scripted and is the football version of the WWE. Besides, I'm ready for baseball to start. Specifically, Spring Training. It's coming up soon and looking forward to it.

I'll leave everyone with the following questions: Are you planning on watching Super Bowl LIX? If so, who do you have winning the game? Also, do you believe that the NFL is rigged and favors certain teams? Sound off in the comments below.
