What the monument of Joe Louis is mighty face means to me
In the time of “Joe Louis” “Black America” was in one of it’s most pivotal and uncomfortable positions it’s ever been in since slavery. The German Boxer “Max Schmeling” was the reigning heavyweight champion of the world and he was also the face of the Nazi party’s white supremacy ideology. He exemplified that the aryan nation’s “pure white blood” made them superior to all men in every way. Or at least they thought so until that whole theory came tumbling down soon. Joe Louis was already a great fighter but he hadn’t been properly anointed to be the representative of blacks in America as a whole until the Schmeling fight. Max Schmeling had one purpose for his career and that was to uphold the ideologies of the Nazi party he was forced to do so. Schmeling himself was never a Nazi. The Nazis were certain that aryan “pure white blood” made them unbeatable.

The Great Distraction
I will never forget that day, when our most favorite outlet, our multi hour getaway from life, our greatest distraction, OUR sports, had been stopped abruptly due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. It was March 12th 2020 When the National Basketball Association (NBA) Major League Baseball (MLB) National Hockey League (NHL) Major League Soccer (MLS) had stop play indefinitely. There was so much uncertainty in the air...not just with sports but life in general, we didn't know how serious this virus was, many of us were panicked for our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Whenever we faced a serious crisis in the World whether it was war, sickness, and even 9/11 we always had that outlet, that stress reliever, our Sports. Sports bring Happiness, joy, togetherness in this world filled with political divisions, racial tensions, and religious wars now more than ever before. But in a time of pain with us being so divided, let us distract ourselves from the pain of Covid-19, whether you've lost a loved one, or you have or are currently in Quarantine as I am as you read these words, Root for a Slam dunk, A Homerun, a Touchdown pass, a goal, etc. Focus on Anything that gives you joy, because the good times reminds us how things were, and hopefully how they can be again, where we can attend that game without a mask, we can cheer to the top of our lungs being shoulder to shoulder without wondering: "Am I 6 feet apart?" We can get back to stop watching politics as much, worrying about impeachment laws, and just say the heck with that! I miss the adrenaline of a Basketball game, Baseball, Hockey and Football game where the home team takes the court, Ice or Field and the Crowd cheers that you can actually see, and not fake crowd noise! The memories, where a homerun is hit and a little kid catches his first baseball, when the crowd rises all at once when a hockey goal is scored, or a football player celebrates a TD with a leap into the stands and even a fan gets to high five his favorite NBA player before the game and maybe even get a signed copy of his shoes. THIS is the Love of Sports! My fellow sports fans, this gives me hope...hope that America could do more unifying in a time of great pain, it's time to come together as a country, stop the fighting about this or that, and Enjoy our favorite pastime..our Sports..the Great Distraction from our troubled world.

No Room for Racism. Top Story - February 2021.
The ritual has become set in stone. Before each and every game, across the major leagues in UK soccer but most notably in the top-flight Premier League, players from the opposing sides kneel around the center circle. They kneel partly in homage to Colin Kaepernick, the one-time NFL quarterback who sacrificed his career to show his support for the Black Lives Matter movement, but mostly as a statement against racism in general, not just in soccer but at every level of society.

Genoa To Host Season's First World Para Dance Sport World Cup In June
World Para Sport operates on the ethos that there is a sport or activity for everyone. It shouldn't matter whether you are able bodied or disabled, parasport believe in inclusivity so that people can compete together and not feel left out in any way. When the majority of people think of sport, they only think about contact related sport in which competitors have to tackle each other in order to win the ball back etc.
