The young riders mind drifted more slowly than did the icy wind stinging his eyes. Behind him he could see the sun had yet to crest the horizon and though an unusual hour for deliveries he was sure he could catch a house servant milling about at his destination.

A Football Fan
I’ve always loved football, or soccer or whatever you want to call it. Growing up in England if you liked football you followed a team and were scrutinised for it. If they were a bad team you were a bit pathetic but if they were winning, it was obvious you only support them because you’re a glory hunter. My mum was from Manchester but had moved to the countryside before we were born and had spent her youth dropping by the local Old Trafford matches and yelling along to ‘ooh ahh Cantona’. So I adopted her love of Manchester United from the beginning.

#24.. Top Story - March 2021.
I will never forget that day. I was three weeks out of my surgery that took place on January 7th 2020. Jaw surgery to correct my bite. God, it was the worst thing in history for me at the time. I was forced to have my mouth wired shut for three weeks and had to stay on a liquid diet for that entire span. Soup went from delicious to, “Oh my God. If I eat this again, i’m going to throw up.” I couldn’t brush my teeth. I couldn’t sleep properly. My face still had a bit of swelling. On the 25th, my surgeon said that my wires could come off. Finally, it’s over! For celebration, me and my mother planned to celebrate the next day by having brunch at our favorite spot in Warren.

Pay it Forward
I’d been scrolling through Instagram for the better part of the morning. My acquaintances from high school really seemed to be thriving. I would be too if I had what they had. Yes, @maryanntiller had founded a wildly successful nonprofit. But her dad gave her the first contribution and I heard it was like a million dollars. Yes, @rip_baby had a massive, sun-drenched studio where she made interesting, beautiful art that she sold for thousands. But I know for a fact that her parents fully bought her an apartment when she first moved to New York. Yes, @abidoesfitness was a beautiful yoga instructor and fitness influencer. But I’m almost one hundred percent sure that her mom paid for her to get butt implants as soon as we graduated. Life’s easy with money. It’s easy to be generous and hot and creative when you don’t have to work for a living. Unfortunately, that was simply not the situation I found myself in. I worked for everything I had and I helped others when I could. But I just didn’t have enough money to live the lives these people were living.
