Chapter 1: The Beginning of a Tatted Asian Actor
What are you thinking? That question seems to fly around freely in most of our parent's or friend's mouth. Especially from a family that is Asian, Filipino to be exact. What am I thinking? To want to become an actor. Why not a nurse, a banker, or lawyer, as my future was already set for me. To those Filipino families or even if you take notices when going to hospitals, you know what I'm talking about.

The Importance of Balancing Personal Life and Studying
The most commonly used phrase “have a work-life balance” is very rarely achieved, even by seasoned professionals across the world. Volunteering in Creative Spaces
One of my favourite pastimes has been engaging with creative spaces. Whether it's exhibitions, plays, or crying to Avengers: Infinity War, my university experience has been one seeping with different artistic experiences. Of course, there are many different factors, which have made this a lot easier for me than other students, that would love the chance to do the same. Studying History has meant that I have a lot more free time than other people (I should probably be spending that time studying, but mind your business), and I usually have just enough funds to afford to go to some of these events, or at the very least, prioritise them over other things. With that all being said, something that I've increasingly found myself trying to make the time for is volunteering in creative spaces.

The Effects of Others
As I gaze out of the window, I begin to zone out and contemplate what am I doing here? Let's go back to the beginning. I was born in a seaside town in North West England to an amazing mother and father, my mother is a firefighter, and my father had a fish and chip shop. I grew up like any other kid from my area. During primary school, I had a fantastic group of friends, one of whom I'm still friends with today, and she's the best person I know and is always there to listen to me whenever I need her (even if she is terrible at picking up the phone).
