Should Actors Get Tattoos
"Think twice before you get that tattoo!" I was told many times. I was also told that I would never get any casting if I had any tattoos. It was very discouraging hearing this from close friends or fellow colleagues. But, they were wrong. My advice is, if you do hear such a thing, ignore their words. Your mission in your acting career is to find where you stand as an individual and what work you are going for. For years I have feared that my tattoos would only get in the way of castings. For a time being, they were. It was just extra work they had to do to cover them up or adjust fittings to cover them up. Then I realized that maybe I was going into work I just wasn't comfortable doing. I needed to find castings that will appreciate my canvas alongside my performance. Although, this was challenging. Auditions rarely ask for talent with existing tattoos, but it never stopped me from being an actor.

Defining Uselessness
I wrote this post on a personal blog on December 23, 2015. I was a junior in college, studying English and Religious Studies at Texas State University. Since its original publication, I graduated from TXST with Highest Honors, in the top 5 percent of my class—not too bad for a dumb liberal arts student! I married an electrical engineer, who, even though most people find him far more intelligent and impressive than me, values my brain and talents more than almost anyone else does. Today, I'm a professional content writer, a teacher, and a soon to be homeschool curriculum writer. How I Became a Successful Business Woman
I left school at 15 with some GCSE’s but being dyslexic I was told I probably wouldn’t amount to much anyway so why bother. I got a job and I started at college for three years, which I did both full-time. I did hair and beauty for the first year and art and design for the last two. I wanted to become a fashion designer that was my calling in life, my room was always piled high with art books and designs, I was always making things and I just never knew what to do with them. I did all this while I became a manager at my job.
