Queenside Story
The first thing I learned about Jim was that he was obsessed with games, specifically chess. I’d met him through a mutual friend at a games night hosted at Jim’s house. We played Dungeons and Dragons over champagne and pickles while Jim narrated a story of mythical creatures and marvellous missions in outrageous role-playing style.

London, Calling
In many ways, I have chosen a rather unconventional approach to describing my “digital dream vacation”. I have replaced the conditional tense with the present, attempting to depict the scene as if it were happening in the here-and-now (which for many of us is in a state of lockdown, hopes of any real vacation currently inconceivable). I intended for this piece to detail an atmospheric experience of sorts, much like a dream itself. I have chosen to obscure the exact names of places in order to leave your imagination free to roam along with me.

I've spent the better part of the last days trying to think of a concept for a playlist which is transversal. I didn’t want to exclusively share what I like and what I listen to, I wanted to offer an experience that we can all go through. No matter who you are, or what your music taste is, I want us to connect through this playlist.

Moving Your Body
"A body in motion stays in motion." I love this quote for a variety of reasons. First, I am a professional dancer…so my body is always in motion! Outside of work I stay in motion because I love the way it feels to MOVE. Second, keeping your body in motion is great motivation to stay active and to stay healthy. And finally, motion makes the world go ‘round. Let me break this down for you and offer a few tips to keep your body in motion too!

Creator Spotlight: Dr. Megan Babb
Dr. Babb is about as selfless as they come. As a mother of 4, devoted wife, active community member, and primary care physician, we often wonder how she has enough time to churn out such thoughtful, deep content. Whatever her secret is, we sure hope she keeps it coming. Megan's dedication as a primary care physician transfers beautifully to text. She invites her readers under her wing as she confronts the hard-hitting injustices found in America's health care system. She's earnest, fact-driven, and personable—it's almost as if you can hear her voice as you read her stories.

How Nicky Doll has utilized self-isolation to unite countless Drag Race fans
As social distancing measures continue to (rightfully) be a mandatory practice in numerous countries, many strive to feel some kind of human connection through various social media platforms. Whether it be succumbing to downloading the House Party app so you can demonstrate your amazing drawing capabilities with eight of your closest friends or tweeting incessantly at a celebrity because they just might be bored enough quarantining in their 20 acre industrial complex to give that tweet a "like."

50 Things Photographers (or Any Artist/Creatives) Can Do During Lockdown
During these worse times, like the world-spread novel pandemic COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the government implemented so-called social distancing, work-from-home, self-quarantine, shelter-in-place, and lockdown. Any activity to avoid the rapid spreading of the virus. Many photographers, artists, and designers' job offers and projects were canceled or deferred. Some may not be working, maybe furlough, or got laid off during this crisis. It can be a very hard time for everyone. It may be emotional or mentally stressful for us being caged not just for a few days but weeks and, hopefully, not for months.

How To Bounce Back From Failure With 1 Photo, 1 Podcast & 1 Instagram Account.
It was almost 2:00 A.M. when I cried myself to sleep. I was in a hotel room in Orlando, Florida for a family vacation, tossing and turning restlessly. Two days prior, I had been laid off from my job for the first time. Prior to that, I worked tirelessly through a PIP (performance improvement plan) for a whole month to stay at a premier, highly selective agency in San Diego. After many sleepless nights, panic attacks and stress cries, they decided to let me go.

How my Covid-19 wedding changed my view of what matters most
Every little girl dreams of how she wants her wedding to be. A huge party, a big cake, lots of flowers, good music, and of course tons of dancing. This was all required for my dream wedding and as silly as it sounds, there was no way I was going to get married without it. If you would've told me a year ago that I would end up getting married in my living room with only a few close family members and friends, I would've thought you were crazy. Turns out maybe I'm the crazy one because, that's exactly what happened.

How CGI Characters Are Made (Part 1)
If you're like me, CGI and VFX have been blowing your mind ever since Star Wars convinced you that epic space battles constantly rage across the cosmos. I say “ever since” because to this day my jaw still drops at the sight of the magnificent effects and characters being made by independent creators and large production companies alike. Those brilliant creations largely inspired me to pursue a career in design. When I look back at the period where my passions were being realized, I think about how much I would have appreciated having an in-depth look into how characters and scenes were made. So that's what I'm making here. Hopefully this series will help illuminate what goes into making the CG characters and worlds that inspired and bewildered our collective hearts and minds.

I TRIED 5 MORNING ROUTINES OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE
Hey guys! Quarantine has made life drastically different for me. At first, I had a hard time adjusting to the new normal and couldn’t help but let fear take over. And while there seemed to be so many things that have been out of my control, I realized that the way we respond to this global pandemic is completely in our control. So instead of panicking, I decided to do my best to use this time as an opportunity to engage in self discovery, practice self care, and learn new ways of being. It’s so important to remember that the world is shaped by your own perception.
