Moving to a different country: Things you should know
Moving abroad can be one of the biggest adventures of a lifetime. Often, for some people who find themselves stuck in a routine, it can be a release of repetition and a new challenge to embrace along the road of life. Facing a new country brings forward many new additions of experience; from culture, relationships to language, which you need to immerse yourself into completely to adapt and survive. From my experience, it awoken a new state to my existence. This ‘survival mode’ that I faced willingly. I chose this path and for that reason, I needed to make this move the making of me; something beyond what I already have faced. A mould of myself in a new world and lifestyle that I was to call home.

Dragon Eggs
I work for a children’s science entertainment company. I do a lot of the administrative work and also teach in after-school programs all across the city. The kids call me Lab Rat Kat, and I feel like a celebrity when I walk into schools. I’m wearing a lab coat, I’m getting high fives, and people are cheering my name. Okay, only two of those three things are true… And that’s because I don’t put my lab coat on until class starts! I love my job. Pre-coronavirus, we had an office where we also hosted birthday parties, and in the office we had a pet. His name is Smaug, and he is a bearded dragon. He lives in a 40-gallon tank, eats mostly leaves, and I love him dearly. Some people have work wives; I had a work dragon.

Unisex Vs Gender Neutral Fashion - What's the difference?
You’ve seen it countless times again and again through fast fashion retail stores to high street boutiques, the term ‘unisex’ has become a common label for many brands. You can use a nut to clean your laundry? That's Nuts!
Allow me to introduce you to nature's tide pod, the soap nut! *Soap nut takes a bow* *The crowd goes wild* It's true, you can use a nut to clean your laundry. Regular laundry detergent has a few negative environmental impacts that come with it. The chemicals used to clean your clothes end up in bodies of water, where they can create algal blooms that harm the fish and other water dwellers. They also come packaged in plastic, and we should all be trying to cut down on that! Tide pods are super convenient, but they're a single-use plastic, and that plastic ends up in a landfill or in the water like the rest of our laundry detergent.

How to support independent cinema during the COVID-19 pandemic
1. Buy or rent indie films across streaming platforms Yes, we all love the cinema experience – there’s nothing like the big screen, the crunching of popcorn and feeling connected to a room full of like-minded strangers whilst you immerse yourselves in the story playing in front of you. But watching films from the comfort of your living room can be just as fun, and it is desperately needed with the continued closure of cinemas and theaters.

Backyard Chickens
During the months of about March-June you can walk in your local feed store and you can hear little cheeps from the cute little chicks that have been shipped to the store. I mean, who doesn't love baby chicks?? I feel like nobody can resist those cute little babies, but that is one of the biggest reasons I feel like people buy them unprepared.

5 Photography Mistakes That Cost You Time In Editing
As photographers, we love getting the shot. Typically we aren’t just taking one shot either. We are creating a series or capturing a variety of poses and expressions. For many photographers, the act of capturing images is far more exciting than sitting down to narrow and edit. Even for those who enjoy manipulating their images in photoshop, fixing redundant avoidable issues is time-sucking and annoying. And if you don’t do your own editing, it still takes extra time for your retoucher to fix.

6 Ways to Tackle Self Care When You’re Always Busy. Created with: Magic Fitness.
The idea of creating “work-life balance” has taken on an entirely different meaning ever since the pandemic hurled us into quarantine life. It was hard enough to carve out time for self-care before the pandemic, but now it can feel almost impossible. We are working long hours from home while simultaneously running our households, taking care of the family and homeschooling kids. It’s impossible for anyone to manage all of this, but we are all doing our best. One of the most important parts in managing the stress of our current situation is ensuring we take time for self-care. You cannot be your best for everyone else if you aren’t your best self. It’s just like when the airlines tell you to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others. You’re no help to anyone else if you’re not ok!

How to Set Attainable Fitness Goals and Actually Reach Them. Created with: Magic Fitness.
With most fitness centers closed (at least in LA) or only partially open with smaller classes, one of the most significant conversations I've been having with people is how to stay on track and motivated during these times. I'm happy to report that you can still set fitness goals and actually reach them all from the comfort of your living room. There are some serious perks to home workouts like the fact that you can do it in your underwear if that makes you happy or how convenient and easy it is to fit into your schedule without worrying about a commute or traffic. I don't think it gets much better than that!! There's no need to compromise the quality of your workout or have the mindset that you can't hit your goals just because you're working out at home. So you ask how do we do it? Stay tuned because I'm going to share an incredible app that I recently found out about + a few other tips and tricks that will help you stay successful on your journey!

Tips for Creating Content 101
1. HONE YOUR CRAFT. If you don't know what that means, basically start to master what you know. Become the go to person on your college campus for whatever it is. For me that was photography. Once I had that brand awareness for myself, I started to lean more into my messaging.
