"Hands Off 2025" is a nationwide protest movement scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, aiming to oppose recent policy changes and budget cuts implemented by President Donald Trump's administration and associated figures like Elon Musk. Organizers anticipate over 1,000 events across all 50 states, making it one of the largest single-day demonstrations since Trump's return to office. The protests are scheduled for Saturday, April 5, 2025, with most events taking place between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., though times may vary by location.

Here are the main objectives and concerns for this movement:

The movement seeks to address several key issues:

Social Services: Protesters are voicing opposition to cuts affecting Social Security, healthcare, and education programs, which they argue are essential for middle and working-class families.

Civil Rights: Demonstrators are concerned about actions perceived as undermining civil liberties, including anti-immigrant measures and policies targeting transgender communities.

Government Workforce: The movement criticizes layoffs of federal workers and the dismantling of public institutions, viewing these actions as detrimental to democratic governance.

As you can see the majority of states have a protest movement scheduled.

Noteworthy events and participants include but are not limited to:

In Houston, a significant protest will take place at City Hall from 12 to 3 p.m., featuring local representatives such as Rep. Lauren Ashley Simmons and Rep. Lizzie Fletcher, along with community activists. In Boston, the Dropkick Murphys are scheduled to perform an acoustic set during the protest, highlighting the cultural engagement in the movement. I New Orleans, The "Hands Off! New Orleans Fights Back" rally is scheduled to take place, aligning with the national movement's objectives. Participants are encouraged to check local listings or the official Hands Off 2025 website for specific details on time and venue. In Michigan, for example, there are 55 protests planned in cities including Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Traverse City, and Marquette. The Detroit event, titled "Hands Off!
