The Real State Of The Union Was On Full Display At Trump's Speech
From the bright colored clothes to a childish tantrum getting a man ejected, the left side of the aisle's display of hatred for America was on full display.
Donald Trump’s speech before Congress taught us much about the state of the Union. At this time in history, the once majestic symbol of freedom is fractured. We’re a broken mess, and desperately in need of direction.
Republicans will say that this was “our time” to shine. Democrats have pondered, what side of history you want to be on? As if they’re on the right side of history.
In the meantime, both sides are struggling to present optics that leave them appealing to moderates from either side and even their own. One would have only had to watch President Trump's March 3 address to see the great divide.
The greatest divide in the United States is the Grand Canyon in the House of Congress. While Republicans might have walked into Congress on March 3rd with millions of doubters. The Democrats walked into Congress defeated, angry, bitter, and hostile.
But it was the Democrats that showed their colors on March 3rd. Their colors of darkness. Much like a Star Wars procession of imperial soldiers being led by the famous Sith, the Democrats showed their disdain for humanity.
A young boy six years into a fight with cancer was given an honorary award on March 3rd. He was made an honorary Secret Service Agent in front of the President of the United States and all the members of our Congress. When the applause erupted, Democrats sat stoically in their chairs.
That’s the status of Democrats. That wasn’t a political moment. It was a human moment and something to get behind if you’re capable of any degree of humanity. Cheering on the fight of a young person with cancer isn’t about partisan politics but about support for a child’s inspirational bravery.
It’s a sad moment in our country when half of our leadership can’t be trusted to get behind people in this country who’ve fought the evils of cancer, suffered the loss of a child, or lost loved ones to the ravages of war. But it was the Democrats that chose to sit in solidarity, showing their aggressive partisanship is all that matters.
People may hate Donald Trump, Elon Musk, J.D. Vance, or Speaker Johnson, but when these men are celebrating a young cancer survivor who can use all the moral support and positivity that can be found, the Democrats would rather show their hatred than get behind a boy with cancer, it’s a dark time in America.
The way the Democrats acted at President Trump’s speech was reprehensible. It stunk of unprofessionalism. From the moment Trump entered politics, before he did any of the things history books will say was wrong, members of the Democratic party have been filled with hate and vitriol. Oddly, before he was a contender for the Whitehouse, Donald Trump was friends with many of them.
Consider that Trump may be a menace. But as a menace, Trump has disrupted the status quo. For generations, both sides have complained about one key thing in Washington D.C. And that’s the lack of efficiency. People think little is getting done, and on the streets of America, that opinion shows.
However, if the Democratic party hopes to rebuild and make a comeback, it’s time they accept a few key facts.
Giving billions to projects that don’t help Americans isn’t the way to represent portions of America.
Americans aren’t stupid. As the obscene wealth of some of our Democrat representatives has become a popular subject of discussion, we are smart enough to know when people are only there to get rich.
Endless war-mongering seems the way of the Democratic party, and it’s a way we need to move away from. America is tired of paying for the rest of the world’s problems.
Deep divides. We’re sick of it. For years it’s been sown by the news media, and Congress on national television not being able to come together and show support to the victims and family members of things, is a sign you, the Democrats in office, are not there for the American people.
Big government has got to go. We no longer can afford the largest government in the world. Like many things, at a certain point, it’s time to tighten the belt because it’s going to be lean times.
People like Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi have been around too long. They still believe in the “ideals” of America. The problem with that is we’re too far gone. Many of our problems today aren’t things the founding fathers could have dreamed of.
The Democratic Party looks bad. After years of preaching about defending our democracy. What is this democracy as they put it, repeatedly?
Democracy is supposed to be a system of government run by the people and far too many people have felt left out by the current system of government. While Joe Biden and Nancy Policy have been leading the charge, if this is what democracy is, we don’t have one. The people don’t have a voice in Washington D.C. that represents them. It’s probably why they lost so much the past two years.

Jason, I didn't watch the State of the Union so I don't know how Democrats responded to this child. My guess is they were absolutely disgusted at the transparency of the stunt given that Republicans in general & Trump in specific have done everything they can to make sure that most children battling cancer cannot afford treatment. I would think that their hearts broke & their stomachs turned at the cynical display. But again, I didn't watch & this is the first I've heard of it, so I can't say. I do find it telling that you confess that Chuck Schumer & Nancy Pelosi still believe in the ideals of democracy. I find it puzzling that you consider this a reason for them to leave & go home. I think it's that still small voice that, though it keeps getting shouted down by those who prefer lies to truth & greed to compassion, needs to continue speaking until someone finally hears it. I agree, Washington is broken. But taking a sledgehammer to it is not the way to fix it. And reducing the size of government such that the rich & powerful are literally the only ones it serves is certainly not the answer. Trump (& now Musk as well it would seem), has never been about ending waste, corruption or inefficiency. His entire life has been devoted to getting what he wants no matter what it takes (assuming that by "takes" we mean "takes from others"). He accepts no responsibility for anything no matter how nakedly culpable he is, & he takes credit for everything considered good, even when he has devoted himself to the opposite. Please understand, I'm not saying that Democrats behaved well during the marathon speech. But I am saying that Republicans standing & applauding, celebrating the barrage of lies & vitriol that spill from that man's mouth every time he opens it is nothing to be proud of. The Republican Party used to be an important part of political discourse in this country. But the only thing Republican about Trump is that it's the Republic that selected him as president. At this point, my question is whether the GOP can be delivered & rehabilitated from this cancer or whether it will end up forever vilified & outlawed as the National Socialist Party in Germany has found itself.
Well written 👏
