The Dangerous Road of Socialism

Urgent need for consideration here

Socialism promotes forced sharing, meant to weaken top earners, entrepreneurs, and employers. Whereas, New Testament-gospel-living promotes Holy Spirit inspired sharing, which flows from gratitude that applies to benefiting everyone, both the wealthy and poor. Socialism promotes getting something for nothing. New Testament-living promotes giving generously because you’ve been given everything. My point, in this juxtaposition of socialism versus New Testament generosity, is to emphasize that they are not even remotely similar in methodology or in intrinsic motivation.

Socialism is paved with false light for the common good but its reality is a dead end into communism. Communism leads to violence, destruction, and never-ending control from dictatorships. All people in the society are driven to fear because they worry about being turned in for their beliefs, and, or behaviors.

Recently, I’ve been reading a book on the issues with socialism and it’s really solidified in my mind the major dangers that socialism poses. “The Case Against Socialism” by Rand Paul delves into the deceptive nature of socialism. History is riddled with examples of communism that led to millions of unnecessary deaths. My soul just aches when I think about all the people who were killed for overly restrictive governmental regulations and policies that were supposedly “violated.”

Joseph Stalin, General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Adolf Hitler, Führer of Nazi Germany, Augusto Pinochet, President of Chile, Mao Zedong, Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party, Benito Mussolini, Duce and Prime Minister of Italy, and Kim Il Sung, Supreme Leader of North Korea all played massive roles in giving dictatorships their reputation today.

Why am I bringing all this up? Well, I want to expose socialism for what it is - evil. It’s evil because it seems great and honorable at first, but it doesn’t hold up to its initial claims and goals. It’s bent on destroying people by making them all the same. Let’s face it, each person is not the same, in their skills, interests, and aspirations. Everyone has different ideas and values which have the potential for them to start their own companies. Some businesses fail and some succeed, but entrepreneurs should always be encouraged to keep trying. Capitalism is not perfect by any means. However, I believe capitalism encourages businesses and companies to compete in healthy ways that stimulate and encourage economic development. Capitalism encourages people to work hard, therefore creating powerful workers in their work ethics. When it comes to socialism, we can live much better without it. Socialism doesn’t encourage work ethic, instead it creates fear, insecurity, entitlement, and lack of motivation to work more than the minimum expectations.

I have to speak about this because America cannot flirt with socialistic tendencies, otherwise we are in for national disaster. Not to pick on millennials, however they are the most at risk to fall into naive-thinking regarding socialistic thinking trends. I am a millennial myself, so this is me pleading with other millennials, especially. We must wake up and realize that socialism leads to dangerous trenches with no way out of the quicksand!

Income inequality should always exist. Why? Because there are diverse types of jobs and educational levels to work in those said jobs. If someone who works at McDonalds and someone who is a medical doctor start earning the same amount, then what’s the motivation for there to be future doctors? There would be none. In fact, this is why highly educated professionals are literally starving in Venezuela because of income equality has leveled everyone out on the same starving field, to where no one can afford to buy basic things like bread.

So, herein lies the issue of socialism being quick to downgrade education. This is why many communistic countries discourage education. The only acceptable type of education is the type that is meant to indoctrinate or coerce the youth or people into being brainwashed. Socialism has a narrow range of beliefs that is not ever designed to give people the space to disagree with their ideas respectfully with one another.

Capitalism inspires people to think differently with purpose. If people, bonded together, to further the mission of their company, or brand, can think differently, then this is what gleans attention and respect from the public. If the product is different and liked, then it leads to success and motivation for the companies’ workers. It also leads to motivation for people to want to work for the said company. Again, capitalism is not perfect, but it will always be better than socialism, which yields to a dangerous pathway of destruction.
