Dear Donald: Telling a Military Vet Off Isn't the Way to Win Support
Mr. Trump: I am the child of a Canadian military vet. Granted, my father was not ever part of any deployment, though I do recall he spent six weeks in the Yukon when I was really young. I am also the wife of a Canadian military vet; my husband did spend time in Haiti, and let me assure you, what he went through there was no picnic in spite of the sunny locale. At the time, he was part of the United Nations deployment there in the late 1990s and was on site when the ferry disaster of 1997 occurred. In fact, several of the pictures he took (he was part of Combat Camera at the time) were disseminated by the Associated Press.

Donald Trump: Despicable and Deplorable
I’m gonna blow. We have this thing called social media that let’s you sound off whenever something rubs you the wrong way. Hello, Donald Trump. But the election taught me how impulsive posts only elevates anger, alienates without resolving anything and makes Facebook fertile ground for unfriending. So my responses have been to encourage people to get involved rather than seething with each unsettling factoid. But after seven months, I just have to vent.

Conflicts of the Father
As of 2017, conflict of interest rules apparently don’t apply legally to the Office of the President of the United States. Though, with that being said, it does not outrightly remove the issue from the slate entirely either. The concept exists not solely for the purpose of keeping an officeholder from profiting from his or her office: it exists to protect the rest of us from having that officeholder’s decisions influenced by his or her business interests, rather than by (in this case) the national interest. Someone with the business interests Trump has — unless he divests (which he seems unwilling to do: he’s been extremely opaque about his personal finances from the start) — is, essentially, operating on the honor system, and anyone who relies on that might well consider buying some swampland (or a casino) from Trump. (The idea that if someone is very rich, he is therefore incorruptible, relies on the notion that he is no longer interested in making money. Trump’s resistance to divestiture suggests that for him, this is not the case. Rather tellingly, the only entity Trump has pledged to dissolve to date is his nonprofit foundation.)

The Apprentice President
In years past the world looked to the United States for true leadership in times of crisis. Unfortunately, ever since Donald Trump took office he has managed to obliterate any progress past Administrations have made in securing America's place as the one nation that embodies the willingness to come to the rescue in troubled times. The internal conflicts created by Trump himself has only accelerated Americas surrendering of our leadership role in international affairs.

Dear Mr. Trump, You've Made America Self-Reflect
Dear Mr. Trump, It has been an interesting few years in American politics. It is clear that America is going through some tough growth and change, and that has been stressful, but very gratifying to watch. Your rise to power has been fast, and very surprising. While some people are quick to criticize this, I want to note that it is very important. You have been chosen by the American people, at a time when the country is divided. And their choice of you, as President, has taught us all a little more about our neighbors.

Trump Threatens Removal Of Subsidy Payments For Health Insurance
Once again, the immaturity of the 45th president of the United States continues to shine through. Is there legislation that needs changing in the United States? Absolutely, and change is good for almost any government if it's done in an appropriate fashion. In the case of Obamacare, there are a number of flaws within that system which makes change necessary, but one way to execute change is not to simply remove subsidies to the insurers until President Trump gets his way.

Why Trump Has Got it Right
The galling hypocrisy of Trump's opposition really is becoming quite tedious. While it may be the "in thing" to spout hatred about the USA's president (much like witch-burning in the 14th century—completely oozing with fashionable self-righteousness), the last straw for me came when Snoop Doggy Dogg, a rapper who made his millions rapping about b*tches, h*es, drugs and all other types of immoral fluff, but gets away with it because it happens to be "cool," decided to pretend to assassinate Trump in a music video. So let me get this straight—it's absolutely outrageous and abhorrent for Trump to suggest banning immigrants from countries where Sharia Law is prevalent, all with the intention to protect the American people from potential suicide bombers and angry young Islamists waving knives and shouting "Allahu Akbar," much like what we are currently experiencing in Europe, but it is completely acceptable, encouraged even, for Snoop Dogg to mimic outright murder of the US President? Really, the mind boggles.

Republican Senators Open Fire on Trump on Hot Mic
It's finally happened. One Republican senator has ripped President Trump for an apparent lack of knowledge, while a Democratic senator, in an effort to show support, seemed to question Trump's mental stability.
