30 Joe Biden Tweets To Inspire You To Vote Like Your Life Depends On It
The month is only half over and Joe Biden is having a significantly more presidential month than the actual Commander-In-Chief himself. Heck, Fox news miiight even agree! (Probably not).

PICK A SIDE: THE SOCIAL WAR
The following is a reflection on the division occurring throughout the world. In this writing, I ponder whether the division is truly as extreme as the media has portrayed it by examining the external forces influencing the divide. While I mention current social issues, this writing is not meant to be a discussion of the ideas/beliefs/opinions of any group. For further information on the groups mentioned, I recommended visiting their websites, interacting with their content and forming your own opinions.

To everyone who deleted their black square
Two weeks ago we joined together to show support and muted ourselves on Instagram by posting black squares, to amplify the black voices calling for justice. Way over 20 million users posted black squares on their accounts, and it was amazing to see such a large number of people taking a stand against racism.

An Open Letter to Millennials
This is an open letter to all of the smart, informed, interested, and compassionate young people of my generation. I understand the confusion, anger, and, above all, disregard you may feel when it comes to politics today because I feel it too. Yes, the national and international institutions that we have grown up with, the only ones we have ever known, are in dire trouble. They are no longer capable of addressing the needs of our 21st-century lives because they were designed at a time when the world was a very different place and faced an entirely different set of challenges. But that doesn’t mean we should stand by and watch as a mockery is being made of our democracy. We are better than that and we deserve better than that.

This June, before heading to a (blistering hot) Berlin, just a week earlier I found myself discussing the topic of respectful behaviour at memorials and sights of tragedy with friends. Our discussion was prompted by a recent tweet we had seen from the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. The tweet included pictures of visitors to the camp posing on the famous train tracks. The account (@AuschwitzMuseum) accompanied these photographs with the following caption:

Social Media and the Public Square
Social Media has become a platform that most of us around the world have come to rely on for everyday news, and communication. The good news is it is effective at that goal. The bad news is, it is effective at that goal. I'll explain, there was once a time when we had to communicate at least over the phone, so we could hear what the other person was saying, or even better, face to face. Now, we can have conversations all over the world, and never have to physically know who we are talking to. Great right!? Wrong! People have become overly bold and they have no idea how to interact with real people anymore.
