Truman's Blunder and the World Today
In all of recorded history of the United States one instance stands out that still to this day has complicated international relations almost to the point of igniting another World War. Lessons learned in today's history books too many times omit the whole story behind actual events that have occurred. It is this Memorial Day that we remember the sacrifices that our military makes to keep our freedom alive. In that light there is no better time to bring to the world's attention that some 66 years ago President Truman made one of the most historical mistakes that continues to cause reverberations through-out the world.

For Unity
Every few decades there have been moments that seem to suggest the United States might somehow get it's act together. Unfortunately, today there have been no moments that even come close to signaling this nation can become united once again. United behind a plan of direction that will secure a better future for all. The stark reality facing America is that greed, and the lack of cohesiveness between all political parties, have pitted one entity against the other. Consequently, the United States is anything but united. Too many splinter groups and organizations, each with their own brand of agendas, continue to pull this nation apart.

Dear Donald... Think About The Kids
Dear Mr. President: As a high school English and French teacher, I get listened to more often than I realized. Kids are quick to point out when think they hear something incorrect or improper pass from your lips, and I learned early in my career to use that to my advantage, usually for a teachable moment of some shape or creation. It's led me to really think about the words I use both in and out of my classroom and especially around the kids in my life.

Playing Russian Roulette With the Trump Administration
This is my very first attempt into writing articles, so I would urge everyone to sit back and relax, grab a cup of tea and a biscuit, you may just learn something. As a global citizen, I have found myself among billions of other human beings captivated by the ever evolving political drama gripping Washington. The Trump administration is lurching from one crises to the other on a weekly basis since they took over the reins at the White House in February.

Dear Donald... Be A Better Man . Top Story - May 2017.
When it was first announced that you might run for the role of President of the United states, I laughed. Many of my Canadian friends laughed. We were so sad to see Obama leave the office, disheartened to see what Hillary was facing, and worried about who the new President would be. But still, your bid seemed like a joke to be played out in social media, and one that would never come to fruition. It was hubris, and you were clearly a narcissist. The American people would not allow it. This was not the first time I watched in disbelief as the American people voted against their own interests. I was similarly shocked by the level of support that George W. Bush received, and horrified by the antics of Sarah Palin. But I never even imagined that the people, the presidency, would stoop so low.

Dear Donald... Remember History?
Mr. President; Not that long ago, you said that you had the "absolute right" to share the intelligence you gleaned from certain sources with the Russians. Ever hear of Lord Acton? Well, you're living proof, right now, of his quote that "absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Dear Donald...
I’ve been blogging about you forever, it seems, on and off, even before the campaign that has landed you, inexplicably, in the White House. The fruition of your 2016 campaign has propelled you into an office that, frankly, I thought you had no more realistic chance to occupy than any reasonably talented golden retriever.

Dear Donald...
...Do you mind if I call you that? I’ve never been much of a “political person” which I think explains why I’m following the events of the past few months so closely. Rather than politics, I feel like I’m watching a scandalous soap opera, complete with massive contradictions, dirty lies, and a few grossly egotistic characters. The problem is, the show is no longer keeping anyone guessing.

Dear Donald… It’s Okay, I Feel Scared Sometimes Too
Mr President, I know you’ve got a lot on your plate at the minute. I’ve never thought of the Presidency of the United States as being an easy job, but I’m sure the reality of what’s required must be fairly overwhelming.

Dear Donald...
Dear Donald, it is with a heavy heart that I write this open letter to you. I initially thought your behaviour on the campaign trail was all showmanship and deliberate bravado, and when you because President, this would change. I wrote several pieces on your behaviour at the time running up to the election, berating your insulting comments and boorish verbal attacks on Hillary Clinton and women in general.

Dear Donald...
Dear Donald, Let me start by saying “I don’t hate you.” I would even get a cup of coffee with you. I mean, we both have model wives, we both appreciate beautiful women (though I typically don’t grab them by the “pussy”) and we have a vested interested in politics and business, and love America.
