It’s been more than briefly fashionable to dismiss or distill the current pandemic-driven style of former vice president Joe Biden’s presidential campaign as a war being waged from his basement in Delaware. The Trump 2020 re-elect campaign, denied the chance to go after Biden on traditional campaign turf (the country itself), has doubled down on the Biden-in-the-basement meme, alleging that Biden’s phoning it in, taking shots at President* Donald Trump from the equivalent of a bunker in New England.

America’s Two Party System
With 2020 being an election year, it seems pertinent to continue to inform ourselves on the history of our government and ways we may be able to improve. With the current state of our country, and the world, this election seems more important than those in the past; but also more chaotic and emotional. More and more I notice people saying they will not vote, they are begrudgingly voting for the candidate they did not want, or are “throwing their vote away” and voting for a third party candidate. While the majority of the country grows more divided, I thought we should take a look at how America became a two party system and what potential we have at becoming more than Democrats and Republicans.

8pm 25th March 2017 As March draws to a close I am once more confounded between exam preparations, essay submissions, and a worldwide pandemic for liberation. My bedroom looks as if a post-it note monster with the mating veracity of a bunny has impregnated and spawned across my walls. And I am swept up in the commotion, so to want to be liberated from the responsibilities of my exams, something only MA and Ph.D. student have the luxury to behold.
