politics
Politics does not dictate our collective cultural mindset as much as it simply reflects it; We've got to look in the mirror sometimes, and we've got one.
Could Prigozhin Oust Putin?
Reading a recent story in the Washington Post, I was struck by the opinions it reported about Putin’s shrinking circle of trusted advisers and his apparent lack of a strategy for the Ukraine war after 300 days of failure. This is an extract of what the Post reported:

Some Observations on John McWhorter’s “Woke Racism”
For over two decades, Columbia University professor, John McWhorter, has produced anti-racial justice commentary, which has been eagerly lapped up by his racist fanbase. McWhorter, a self-described liberal (who is Black) is someone who implies that Black people should be grateful that slavery and Jim Crow were abolished; that modern racism is insignificant; and that anti-racism is a threat to American society.

“We’re pinheads now We are not whole We’re pinheads all Jocko Homo” - DEVO Had COVID been properly managed, it would have been in our rearview mirror as we negotiated our way through 2022. Instead, Trump politicized the virus, allowing anti-vax and other anti-science conspiracy theories to take root and condemning us to negotiate through a new normal where we are forced to deal with periodic outbreaks. The only positive is that adherence to Internet Pseudo-Science has allowed Darwin to rebalance the voter rolls.

Two For One Election Special. Top Story - January 2023.
“It is true that power corrupts. The hope at the polling stations and the actions of the elected representatives, unfortunately, often turn to be opposite. The power of ballot turns into the power of wallet. Some law-makers become law-breakers.” - Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj
