Deluded Nation
From the moment they first stepped foot on these grounds, they stole the liberties, tears, and identities of others. When wanting what was best for their families, they tore families apart. Yet, they sailed mountainous waves from their motherland to advocate more liberty among civilians for the greater good — to create peace — back when it all began. They drained us down to the last penny and drop of sweat they could get from us, but they could have empathized with all of us. They should have empathized with all of us. It’s funny. They don’t see it.

Relationships and the Law
Relationships and the Law: There is a vast difference between allowing people to come together and forcing them to. One of the basic laws of physics—Newtonian version at least—says that to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Legislation to force racial unity and integration will result in opposition. Having rules and an ambience that allows integration gradually over time will succeed naturally.

The Plight of My Generation
Seventeen people lost their lives last month in a tragic, heartbreaking school shooting. There are no words I can type on my smartphone to do that justice. There is no way I can relate to it, either. I’m just being honest; I have never faced such a tragedy in my own life and I won’t offend the survivors by even attempting to relate.

Equality Does Not Exist
In the last couple of years, equality has been the center of debates and discussion in politics, society, the workplace or just within our personal conversations. Gender equality especially, has definitely been one of the major topic within the equality discussion. However, equality does not exist because there is so much more to it.

Immigrant: What's in a Name
Immigrants and immigration are no doubt the hottest buttons in political debates recently. On March 5th, 2018, many Dreamers, AKA DACA recipients, marched on DC demanding a resolution to the DACA deal. March 5th was the deadline, but so far, no final bipartisan agreement has been reached. So the Dreamers made their voice known.

Guns
Guns: When it comes to guns, we are stubborn, selfish, and foolish with the direction and mindset most of us to have on gun control. Most of the actions and opinions of these politicians and gun nuts have bewildered me and highlight the corruption and stupidity of our society. I wonder if there was a time when it didn't take a tragedy or a few kids getting shot to care about one another. How is it that when you're the age of 18, you are old enough to buy an AR-15—an assault rifle which was created to make it easier to slaughter humans—but be too young to buy a Bud Light.

Political Promises
Political promises Lies Under Another Name I keep seeing social media posts, supporting politicians who promise to deal with all the world's problems. If only they get into power. They make it seem so simple: they will end homelessness, they will end poverty, they will bring about world peace, they will end injustice. They will personally see that the public health services have all the money they need, they will ensure the ending of higher education tuition fees, they will change the world, they will ensure wonderful summer's of peace, love, and prosperity. They will end terrorism.
