So We Disagree? NBD
People get upset about nearly everything these days. Unless you live with your head under the sand, you've probably seen some of the latest social media fighting firsthand; the debate about whether to stand or kneel during the National Anthem, whether or not Trump is doing enough for Puerto Rico, and even whether or not Melania wore "appropriate" shoes to visit Texas after the hurricane. I don't know if it's because we just love having things to fight about or what, but the fact that every day brings a new social media debate is indesputable.

What Is Happening to America?
The people of this country have been shocked, and saddened, by the massacre that took place in Las Vegas last weekend, and they are saddened every time there is a school shooting, or a sniper hiding in the trunk of a car, picking off innocent people.

The Truth About Race
So often people are concerned with race. In America, it is a most volatile subject, one that causes hate crimes, murders, hatred, bigotry, prejudice, discrimination, and many other horrible consequences. To be concerned with race does not necessarily make one a “racist” per se. However, a person’s mere preoccupation with race, whether a Caucasian, African-American, Asian, Hispanic, or otherwise, can be a sign of latent if not overt racism.

Hate or Love... Your Choice
Going to work this morning, I started talking to a woman that I usually engage when I run into her on our daily commute. I start off with the friendly good morning, and this time she proceeds to share that a brown man walked in front of her on the bus... and how dare he.

Dear Kim Jong Un
Dear Kim, Why? Why are you doing this? What good could it possibly do? Why are you putting yourself and everyone you love at such great risk? Why are you putting the world at an even greater risk? Why do you want destruction and fury? Why don't you care about the fate of your own people? What makes you so angry that you think this is the only option? I have so many questions to ask you, but the main one is, "Why?"

Confessions of Someone Who Isn't Black
I wrote this essay back in July of 2016 when week after week, we would see more and more brutality from the police against unarmed black men and women. In light of the events in Charleston, I felt it important to share this with the world again.

To Be or Not To Be
Another Day So. Here I am again thinking about damn trump— FYI, I use a small case ‘t’ for its name to show my complete disrespect for it. The Arizona rally was a few days ago. I didn’t go, rest assured that person isn’t me. I am not one of the damn trump-girls. [We all know you got paid. We see you.] The issue, for me is that someone I know went to the rally, she was there with bells on.

How I Explained Charlottesville to My Kids
The events in Charlottesville, Virginia, have been described as many things — hateful, terrorism, supremacist, etc. There are self-flagellating white liberals grieving over whiteness. There are Blacks who are tired of hearing the same old song. There are conservatives saying, “Hey, that ain’t us.” There are cyberbullies doxxing people who look like the neo-Nazis who gathered there. And I, well, I’m just trying to help my kids — the oldest of whom is mixed — digest it.

"The Daily Stormer" Troubles Not Over
There's a storm brewing for Andrew Anglin, founder of neo-Nazi website "The Daily Stormer." Sirius XM host Dean Obeidallah, who is of Muslim-American descent, is suing because a June 1 article posted on "The Daily Stormer" implied that Obeidallah was behind the Manchester, England bombing at a May 22, 2017 Ariana Grande concert. 22 people were killed at 59 were injured.

So Wrong They're Alt Right
The first thing that needs to be said: the alt right is just a fancy name for Nazis. Offended, don't be a Nazi. It's as simple as that. I have no patience for those that try to defend themselves with insipid excuses for being hateful, racist, insecure people. One person actually tried to tell me they were on the alt right because of Black Lives Matter. Are you kidding me? The two are literally not even the near the same thing. The Nazis, as they will be called from here on out, think that white is the superior race. BLM was standing up against their children being killed needlessly by police officers. This is the hell the Trump hath wrought and it is so stupid that if it were a movie, people would walk out on it.
