Folks, I wrote this as a grieving process. The words, the rhyme, the music sooth my soul. I pray to the universe for peace not war and hate.

RIP AMERICA!

THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED

I want to live on an island.

I want to live away from American land,

Until Rump and the Heritage Foundation die.

That is no lie.

Kamala should have won.

Once again, the electoral college pulled out their guns.

Project 2025 will presume 2025.

Many of us will not be alive,

Long at all

But the rich don’t care.

We are small.

They are pigs living in their slop and smelly hair.

2025 we will lose our healthcare.

Be aware,

Hear what I say.

Today

As the lions prepare their lairs

And dens of inequity and inequality

Hear what I say.

No more social security.

No more healthcare.

No more Medicare.

No more EBT.

Old people such as I will be thrown out to dry.

You asked why

Well, Nazis throw old and young away

That have any kind of disabilities,

Because Nazis want only contributors to society.

So, the old, the sick, the disabled will be thrown away

Millions will be deported far away.

This is a very sad day in America.

Bah humbug! Scrooge won!

Congratulations America for choosing a 34-count convicted felon, rapist, child molester and trafficking, fraud, and the list goes on.

The weak oversee us now

Once again women are second class citizens in our land

Once again, we have the autocratic southern states in charge of us

It’s still us vs them.

I want to cuss

I want to scream

What will happen in 2025

Is not many of us will survive

RIP AMERICA!

As a humanitarian I will continue to be an activist for marginal communities and humane conditions. Now that we have chosen a dictator to take power January 2025 it feels like the end of the world for us humanitarians and empaths.

The aftermath of the 2024 election is devastating to so many of us who wanted Kamala to win. Bigotry and misogyny got us here. Fox news and all the right-wing media got us here. Next year we will be told we cannot use certain words nor read certain books. This is not a movie, folks. They have told us to our faces they plan to destroy our constitution. I am mixed DNA, and it is well known that I am that. I am worried about my grandkids. I am worried about so many things.

America has fallen into the arms of a dictator. I am not being negative.

We must remain calm before the storm.

We must get our heads right to prepare for this aftermath after the election. We must get together in communities with people we trust. We must prepare ourselves for the worst scenario. This is not a movie.

I have often viewed life as a movie in a way that I could rewind the tape back to the beginning and start over from scratch.

Well folks we are here now. Our tapes have been rewound back to 1876. All the humanitarian things we fought so hard for and won for over 50 years will be stripped from our lives. We will go back to women as second-class citizens, people of color will be pushed back into manual labor, teachers, journalist, activists, protesters will be either locked up, killed, or harassed until they take themselves out.

We will be forced to join the White Nationalist churches. If we do not comply, we will be either killed, imprisoned, or harassed until we take ourselves out.

I am not writing this article, this song, this music to be told to shut up until January 2025.

We must form a community of folks to support one another during these dark times of our new foreboding dark clouds over our American land. We must stick together as human beings who care about each other and humanity.

I studied history, graduated from college, and learned to use critical thinking skills. I am thankful for my life and appreciate the talents our universe has given all of us.

This is not drill’ folks. This is a dystopian reality. Our country has just gone backward 200 years. The powers that were just elected will rip our constitution apart, dismantle all government agencies, rip our social security away, rip our healthcare and Medicare away. Nazis also throw away disabled people or others who cannot contribute to society. We will be living in a world of darkness and white patriarchal nationalist religious coercion and forced to subjugate to their doctrine.

I am in mourning today.

Tomorrow, we need to plan to take back to our country. Remember folks, the far right has told us there will not be any more elections.

We are officially living in the Twilight Zone.

RIP AMERICA!

Similar to you, I will fight for as long as I can, but I am planning to exit if I need to. We all need to stay together and do want we can to protest, boycott, write our stories and speak the truth in this delusional America we are thrusted in. Thanks for writing exactly how many of us are feeling.

  • My response song is Punk Rock for 2025. Let's all suck cock, kiss ass, so we can't eat and not be homeless. Yay! American freedom and pride! Doom and Gloom inspires the best Punk Rock songs. Thanks.

Congratulations on your top story. With everything going on in the world, I am glad I am on the other side of 65. I don't live in America, but as an outsider, I find Trump to be one of the most unethical people in the world. He has no respect for anyone but himself and seems intent on undoing everything that many before have taken so long to put in place from a humanitarian perspective. What I can't come to grips with is how a country can allow a convicted felon to be its President. Everyone just seems to brush it off as - Oh well!

  • I'm afraid I am not up on politics at all but this is a global issue too, which makes it so much more worse.

You clearly and vividly expressed the thoughts and fears for many of us in this sobering piece. Congratulation on the bittersweet Top Story recognition for stating such a brutal truth.

And from the North, fearful eyes stare out of snow and ice. The whole planet should be in mourning alongside you. I am. I have a gender queer sibling, trans friends, friends of colour, female friends who have liberal sex lives, I fear for all of them. My family is mixed, my cousins are Japanese and Irish, I’m Mohawk and Irish so I have the “blessing” of blue eyes. We might live in Canada, but where Americans go our politics tends to follow. And I live in fear we’ll get a blue supermajority in Parliament next cycle… just fyi, blue up here is for the Conservative Party, otherwise known as Canadian Republicans. And they’re all insane

Congratulations on your top story. I'm sorry the election didn't workout as you wanted, but the majority spoke and that's what democracy is all about.

Congrats on Top Story and I'm sorry your vote didn't count, that's the sadness of democracy. I didn't vote and I do think you're being a bit melodramatic in this piece. That's alright with me, I get that way about other subjects sometimes. I was a fan of Rump or Commiela, but it is what it is. I suppose we should just be glad that we were born after Abe Lincoln.

  • We are beyond devastated and feel your pain x

Soon the cult people will realize that the person they trusted to take care of them is going to take all that they have earned and toss them into the trash. He only cares about himself. Once they realize what they have put into the seat of power it will be too late. Stand strong and support each other.

    I am in mourning, too.
