Radoslaw Sikorski: Responds to Musk.

Elon Says European Union Should Be Abolished.

Polish Foreign Radoslaw Sikorski and British Foreign Minister David Lammy.

Elon Musk, tech billionaire, entrepreneur, and would-be Martian, posted derogatory comments about the European Union. Even displaying the EU flag with a Swastika in the middle of the European Stars, calling the European Union "The Fourth Reich". Musk thinks the EU should be abolished and there should be a looser association of member countries. Musk believes that EU regulations stop freedom of speech.

Musk apparently did a Nazi salute at a Trump rally to a crowd of MAGA lovers. However, others said it was a Roman salute. Whatever, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski responded to Musk's postings on X. He told Musk in no uncertain terms, "Go to Mars. There is no censorship of Nazi salutes". Musk's comments came after the EU fined him $140 million, or 120 million Euros, for failing to meet transparency rules. It was actually X that was fined by the European Union, but it still led to Musk, as he is the owner. Musk has a campaign running on X: Hashtag "Abolish the EU".

Sikorski is a no-nonsense Polish politician who is the kind of man who would respond to the likes of Elon Musk. Musk has an appetite for interfering in countries and espousing his views. Like he did at the recent Tommy Robinson rally in London. Robinson introduced him to a large crowd via a video link on a large screen. Starmer and Musk have also had spats in the past on social media. Elon was criticising Sir Keir on this and that. Starmer responded to what Musk said about him making attacks of his own. It must have been awkward for Starmer when Musk was part of Trump's cabinet. For Starmer, it's hard enough keeping Trump onside, let alone putting Musk in the mix, who Starmer already had trouble with.

Of course, Trump and Musk eventually fell out. Trump should be indebted to Musk in a way because when things seemed stacked against him. When it looked as if Kamala Harris might steal his thunder. Because Musk, originally a leftie and a Democrat, swapped sides and got behind Trump. This undoubtedly helped Trump win because Musk didn't like Kamala. So with no Musk, Trump probably wouldn't have been in the White House today.

Musk has stayed on the right from serving in Trump's government to leaving and forming his own party, The America Party. That said, you do not hear about the America party right now. It's not like Musk could legally run for POTUS anyway. Musk is South African by birth. He spent some time in Canada before becoming a US citizen. To run for office in America, you have to be born in the US or a USA overseas territory (correct me if I am incorrect). Obama was accused of not being American, but he was born in Hawaii, which is an American state, hence he could run for political office.

Mayor Elect Manmdani was Ugandan by birth with Indian ancestry. He came to the US as a youngster and is an American citizen. So how come he gets to be the New York Mayor when he wasn't American-born? Are the rules different for someone running for Mayor as opposed to being President?

There are rumours that Mamdani might even run for president, but how can that be when he wasn't even born American? So, based on that, as an ex-South African and now an American, Musk could run for the top job, too? As a Brit, I am truly confused by the way American politics works.

One day, there may be an answer to Radoslaw Sikorski's prayers. Musk announced in 2020 that he would be leading an exodus from Earth to Mars. And there, Musk can goosestep and do Nazi/Roman salutes as much as he wants, as Sikorski rightly alluded to.
